Blast to the past 12 years ago.

Remember when Eragon was at its peak(2007-09)? We had the coolest forums (2 of them) just dedicated with the coolest members.

I just found some old archive web pages from Shurtugal.fanfiction (just a place dedicated to all things Inheritace Fan Fictions) and Fanfiction Forums (SF3) and oh man. What a goddam nostalgia kick.

And then the fanfiction site got hacked. The database was lost and I don’t think they ever recovered. We lost so many good fanfics.

We had so many good theories that we mostly got right.

I remember the last scene and we were all talking about who was standing on the rock yelling as Eragon was sailing away and we low key totally thought it was Murtuagh...

I’m forever salty that we lost the best fanfiction base for The Inheritance Series.

I had so many good friends on there. 😭 shout out to all the ghosts of the past! If you are still there, give a holler.

Oromis tested him in every conceivable manner, forcing Eragon to utilize his entire arsenal of blows, counterblows, and underhand tricks. It was all for naught. He could not touch the elf. As a last resort, he tried altering his style of fighting, which could unsettle even the most hardened veteran. All it got him was a welt on his thigh. “Move your feet faster,” cried Oromis. “He who stands like a pillar dies in battle. He who bends like a reed is triumphant!”
