But while the Eleventh Division barracks always smell like old, sour sweat, Yumichika's smells… clean. As if he'd showered, then immediately begun to perspire. Which was almost certainly the case. You should have known better than to dive into the sheets with your best friend. You really should have not done it. But the sexual tension between the two of you had been increasing every single day for a few months now. A few touches, some accidental -and not so accidental- flirting… it was only a matter of time before this happened. 

And yet. 

You didn’t want a relationship. He didn’t want one either. You had talked about this before. You cherished the friendship way too much. So it would have been for the best if neither of you had ever seen the other person naked in a non-platonic way. 

And yet. 

Here you were, laying on your back, catching your breath after what was arguably the best sex you had ever had. You had felt such a connection the minute your lips connected, and before you knew it, you had been nothing but a mess of limbs on the bed, not an inch of skin left unexplored or untouched. 

“So… we’re not a couple now, right?” 

You were the first to speak up, insecurity apparent in your voice. You had both broken the unspoken promise you had made to each other, and you had to talk about it. Preferably now, before your thoughts and feelings could go on, living a life on their own. 

“No.. we aren’t.” 

He didn’t sound as sure as you had hoped that he would. Hisagi was confident and strong when it came to work, professionalism. But you knew him better than that. And those insecurities came out in vulnerable moments like this. 

“It’s only awkward if we make it awkward.”

You spoke up again after a long moment of silence, staring at the ceiling above you. You couldn’t bear looking at him right now. You weren’t sure what you’d do if you could see his expression, trying not to imagine what he’d look like right now.” 

“Agreed.” 

Then more silence. 

“That sounded awkward” 

You chuckled uncomfortably, trying to diffuse the tension again by just calling it like it was. And he chuckled in response. 

“I know." 

It was silent for a while again, until you noticed the bed shake, just a little. Held back laughter was shaking Hisagi’s entire body until he could no longer hold it back and he just started laughing. You felt the corners of your mouth turn up as well, laughter bubbling up and eventually joining him, until your abs started hurting and your throat was dry. 

“Fuck, we are idiots.” 

“that we are.” 

“But we’re still friends, right?” 

“Of course”

Vil is always giving comments on everyone’s looks, especially you. He says your lips need a lip makeup, because it looks pale. So Vil just drags you to Pomefiore and puts lipstick on your lips. Ugh, why would you wear a bold or flashy lipstick at school? 

You try to remove the lipstick and that makes Vil angry. Why can’t you just wear it so that so you don’t look THAT pale? Pain. You accepted your fate and go out from Pomefiore’s dorm.

ADeuce and Grim ask what’s wrong with your lips. Answer them that Vil put it on you and they just understand how it feels. Vil is troublesome when it comes to BEAUTY. 

You think how to get rid of it. If you use a tissue, it’ll irritate your lips! Now, think, S/O, how? While you’re drinking, you find the lipstick stains on your water bottle. Oh? Now you know how. But are you going to continue your dangerous plan, herbivore? Yes or yes? YES.

Walk to Botanical Garden and see your boyfriend is sitting near a tree. He’s observant. Leona notices your lips. Herbivore, you’re wearing a makeup now? Well, actually it suits you, but you dislike it!

You just kiss him without warning, rough and passionate enough to remove the lipstick from your lips.

His eyes? Wide open. His ears? Flattened. But does he refuse the kiss? No, why would he? He smirks and return the kiss.

You can feel his fangs nibble your lips playfully. His hands wrap around you on your waist tightly. Lick your bottom lip and continue to kiss you again. You pull away and see the lipstick stain all over his lips.

Oh? Oh. Now that’s VERY attractive. Your lipstick is ruined, do you regret did that? NO. He sends you his usual smug face and licks his lips.

Reach out the corner of his lips with your thumb and brush the stains a little. He sees it and smirks. Is this why you kiss him, herbivore? He loves this. His S/O becomes bold because of THIS? Oh, it’s hot for him. Do it again, S/O.

Definitely will pull you for another rough kiss and play with your lips. This is what you want from the start, right? You want it, you get it, S/O.

Leona asks you what’s the meaning of this afterwards. Is this your new hobby or something? You explain to him what happened. He laughs and pulls you to his laps for another round of kisses.
