He pushed himselfupright on their motel room’s king-sized bed. “If you need it backI can change into my old one.”

“That’s kind of hot,actually.”

Aiden looked up,surprised but not uninterested. “Oh?”

“Yeah,” Josh said,nodding, very serious look on his face.“Like, totally hot. And youknow what would be even hotter?”

“What?” Aidensmiled, leaning back on his arms as Josh rounded the bed and leaneddown to kiss him.

“Taking it off,”Josh whispered near his ear and Aiden felt a shiver going down hisspine.

“What about theThai?” he protested half-heartedly, still smiling.

Josh glanced at thewhite takeout bag on the table and pretended to think about it.

“The Thai can wait,”he decided firmly, kissing Aiden again and helping his laughingboyfriend take off his shirt.

I’m designing the letters myself, that’s the fun of it really. But of course all of them correspond to an existing IPA letter.

Column 1: basic Norwegian letter equivalent. 2: IPA letter. 3: keyboard assignment. 4: how the letter actually looks.  (The bottom are base 12 numbers, which I did take inspiration elsewhere for.)

The reason there’s two different IPA letters for each Norwegian letter is because in Norwegian, you only have 9 vowel sounds, but you have long and short versions of them. (It’s rarer in Norwegian to do weird vowel combinations to denote different sounds.)

In actual Norwegian, you can tell the vowel length difference by whether it has a single or a double consonant following: død - long ø  (dead). dødd - short ø  (died).

In my alphabet, the vowel length is denoted by basically a macron, like A (short) vs Ā (long), so double (matching) consonants probably won’t be a thing.
