Diego goes on a little adventure as a small child. Go.
He has to be really careful. If Alicia wakes up she'll beat him with a hairbrush and then go get their dad. No, he has to do this silently. He makes sure all of his clothing is black, no socks, and actually plans ahead to grease the hinge on the window so it doesn't make that loud screech.
The ground is just a hop down, Diego makes sure the box he hid earlier in the week is still out there so he can climb back up when he comes home. Its pretty quiet in their little neighborhood, just frogs and bugs in the moonlight, so he has to be cautious about where he steps. Cutting through the neighbors yards helps, the grass muffles his footfalls, and he makes it two streets over before encountering a problem.
The Doberman on the chain was asleep. But, Diego finds a tennis ball in a stoke of luck. Okay, not so much luck as tripping over it and falling on his face, but no one saw. He gets as close as he dares before pitching the ball really, really hard. The dog takes off and so does Diego. He reaches the safety of the next yard just as the dog snatches the ball but Diego keeps going.
Fucking Raúl won't know what happened until its too late, he smirks under the cloud cover, Asshole 6th grader. The target has been sighted, Raùl's shiny new bike is flipped over in the grass of the front yard. Diego swaggers over only to step on a talking doll that was hidden in the flower bed.
Shit shit shit! He whips the bike upright and hops on, with only a little difficulty because he's not quite tall enough, and tears off down the street. Lights come on in Raúl's house but Diego rounds the corner immediately after.
The bedroom light is on when he gets home. Alicia is sitting in the open window waiting for him with her feet swinging. She eyes his panting face and then the very nice bike.
"You better hide that and get in here before Dad wakes up. What did Raúl do anyway?" She asks oh so casually.
"He tried to steal the locket mom gave us! Fuck that asshole!" Diego huffs in a tiny fit.
Alicia's eyes narrow as she agrees, "Yeah, fuck that asshole."

The next day Raúl calls from the hospital to apologize.
