She seemed slightly "brighter" today with the new steroids, and is eating and drinking enough on her own now without an IV, although she still can't move enough to care for herself well. Since that's pretty much it, they're sending her home, hoping she continues to improve, and will reassess on Monday to determine what quality of life she has.
Since she requires around the clock care now, I have fully annoyed S with asking how he plans to provide that, and advising him that his plans may not work well in some ways. I wish I were nicer and less upset about it, but idgaf about his feelings that come up when hearing me point out that his not listening to me about the cats is a thing that should probably change starting now.
idk what to do, but trusting him and trying not to annoy him is not a tactic I ever want to try ever again.

In our house, I use Aldi's open cardboard boxes to keep the herbs (and cats) somewhat contained.

I don't usually post real life stuff. Much less photos. But my cat is my life, and if there's anyone on this app that can help me while I can't get him to the vet, I'm taking my chances.
A few months ago, a small gap appeared in the corner of my cat's mouth. It didn't seem much, just a little bald spot.
But the same gap appeared on the other side a few days ago. And from yesterday to today, the gap got bigger (The picture. Yesterday, there was only one of these holes).
It's a male cat, about 10 years old. He doesn't have access to the street or dogs, and the gap doesn't seem to be sore or itchy. He lets me touch it without any problem. I haven't changed his food, and I don't think he came into contact with any new material that could have caused an allergy.
I'm desperate to know what it could be. He's already bald around the ears, but it doesn't seem to be alopecia.
