Fur and Feathers | Closed Starter

Ever since Kekipi got to the town, all she could hear about was the Night Crawler. The legend was about some pre-historic dinosaur, taking the lives of people of town. She had gotten curious about this legend and wanted to investigate it for herself. She decided to go out into the wilderness where locals had claimed the creature was lurking. Oh boy, she was excited about seeing this.

While she was out on her adventure, she decided to take a quick rest in a clearing. She had been in the form of a dire wolf for the adventure, knowing it would be more beneficial than being a human. She hadn’t seen or smelled anything yet that was off, so she was sure she had a lot more searching to do before she ever found clues of anything that resembled the “Night Crawler.”

“You’re kidding, right?” she asked, squinting her eyes at Rudy. Her nose crinkled with disgust, as she sneered, “It’s not my fault dad cheated on mom, it’s not my fault mom didn’t want to even try, and it’s not my fault that Cirus is a freak. I hate all of them! It’s their fault! It’s theirs!”

Cardinal stubbornly bit her lip, breathing hard. Don’t cry, she told herself.

“I hate them,” she said again, through gritted teeth. “I’ll eat them.”
