Siddarth and Lakshmi Menon as Karthik and Kayal [Jigarthanda 2014]
I just watched Wake Up Sid for the first time (too late ik ik) and realised a few things:
1. HOW THE HELL DOES RANBIR KAPOOR MAKE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM WITH EVERY MOVIE OF HIS???
like pls sir stoppp
2. What is up with those fake accents in basically every other 2010ish movie?? lmao
3. Even though literally all the Karan Johar films are set in unrealistic worlds, I feel like that is exactly the reason we still cherish those movies. I mean, no one wants to escape their mundane reality with another sad, boring story.
4. I also suddenly have a really strong urge to leave everything behind and start my photography career (which I'll fail as well because I have the same amount of talent as the romance between Sid and Tanya, which was basically nonexistent)
All in all, it's a really fun feel good movie to watch and oh, did I mention that the soundtrack is absolutely BOMB?!
This post quickly turned into a review so imma head out now.
Tu Bin Bataayein from Rang De Basanti (Hindi, 2006)
Mario can’t just let this man work smh
slight nsfw warning, but i wanted to share some ocs (Siddarth and Mario) that i’ve had for a while!
Leila (2019)
Gritty dystopian sci-fi TV series written and directed by Deepa Mehta (the legendary, trailblazing, and transgressive director behind the Earth, Water, Fire trilogy)?!! Hells yes, Netflix!
Central character is a desi woman (Huma Qureshi), explores issues of religious conflict, patriarchy and class? Even more yes!!
So far it has a faint strong Handmaid’s Tale vibe.
Duleep Trophy 2025: R. Smaran, Andre Siddarth named in South Zone squad for final
Promising batters Ravichandran Smaran of Karnataka and Andre Siddarth of Tamil Nadu were on Sunday added to South Zone squad for the Duleep Trophy final. South Zone will face Central Zone in the five-day title clash here at the BCCI Centre of Excellence grounds from September 11. The 22-year-old Smaran and the 19-year-old Siddarth were in the standbys list during the semifinal phase, and now that…
