There is nothing more valuable to me than the long and solitary process of going from being really shit at something to slightly less shit. I'm not being sarcastic! i love making absolute garbage and believing in it and spending enough time gnawing on it that it becomes merely quite bad.
First test of my Christmas card block print!!! And dilly bean who is my vigilant helper (lap warmer)
People who wanna stay active in the summer, but have a terrible heat tolerance, just walk in circles in your kitchen!
I am slowly going insane. I’m started at 200 steps, I’ve been walking for three hours. I’m now at 8000 steps. Help

• Favorite colors: green, specifically dull greens (olive and moss green are probably my favorites!) i also really like slate gray (so like a blue-gray color)
• Last song I listened to: “rebuild, renew” from the fallout 4 soundtrack. when i’m studying i tend to listen to my ost spotify playlist (it’s mostly video games songs plus star trek)
• Favorite musicians: sleeping at last, mumford and sons, the civil wars, bastille,,, something like that i guess
• Last film I watched: the little vampire 3d on netflix. one night in the last wee i was like “i’m gonna watch a movie” and then i stumbled upon this one after scrolling netflix for like 30 minutes. i don’t watch a lot of movies so it’s probably been a few months since the second to last movie i watched
• Last TV show I watched: either leverage or great british bake off, i’m rewatching both of them and switching back and forth between them
• Favorite Original Character: i have. many. so i guess my best answer would be jon and william, who i’ve developed the most. they’re a vampire hunter and a vampire and SPOILERS they are forced to work together and eventually fall for each other wow original. other than that, i have an absolute boatload of star trek ocs (they make up the crew of a single ship and i’m honestly well on the way to filling an entire ship roster with characters).
• Sweet, Spicy, or Savoury: definitely spicy
• Sparkling water, tea or coffee: sweet tea (the southern kind, y’know, sweetened and iced)
• Pets: none now. i had cats growing up, but my dad i realized we were both allergic and so we didn’t get any others after my childhood pet died a few years ago. once i get out of quarantine and have my own place/a job i fully intend to get ferrets though.
i um, honestly don’t know who of y’all are my mutuals, so if you see this and we’re mutuals, odds are i’d like to know more about you! so consider yourself tagged, if you want
I am honestly still having such a hard time with how much I hate the last Joker movie. Everyone loves this fake mentally ill serial killing villain character meanwhile real life mentally ill people get so much hate.
You know what’s cooler than a mentally ill clown character who kills people? Real life mentally ill people who push themselves to get out of bed and function in a world that they know isn’t accommodating of their needs, but do it over and over again every single day no matter how hard it is. Real life mentally ill people who go to therapy and work at being responsible for their illness. Real life mentally ill people who don’t ever hurt anyone. But does anyone want to hear their stories? No way.
I am very open in my daily life about what my lifelong struggle with mental illness is like and sometimes when I talk about it I can really feel that stigma. How is it that this story about a homicidal villain who is constructed explicitly as a mentally ill person can be so popular but when I try to talk about what living with mental illness is really, truly like people are so uncomfortable? Like what you’re captivated by this narrative about how mental illness turned someone into a homicidal supervillain but when I try to talk about how mental illness turned me into someone who is motivated to work their ass off to be stronger and be the best person that they can be every day people are more disturbed by that story?
