Remember when it was Google instead of Bing that was giving us silly results?
Well, I checked it out.
They’re both silly.

February 26 What was on the plan: 4.5 miles at a “comfortable” pace (13:30-14:26 min/mi) What I actually did: 4.51 miles at 13:58 min/mi…sort of. (See notes.)
Notes: I tripped on some uneven sidewalk and wiped out, so I paused my watch and took a moment to snap these photos and pull myself together. (I fall every few months. Life happens.) I guess I’m getting used to falling, because I realized what was happening and positioned my body so I would land in this nice grass. Another runner saw me fall and came to check on me. There are good people in the world.
I ran the first 3.46 miles straight through at a 13:50 min/mi pace before feeling some rough side stitch. I walked for a bit, ran/walked a lot, and finished the last quarter mile strong to give me a 14:23 min/mi pace for the last 1.05 mi–just barely in the range the plan called for anyway! Overall a good run, but definitely a weird one.
Up next: Rest, but I might try to repeat this run. Or at least jog.

I have had a side stitch for what is rapidly approaching 24 hours, and let me tell you, it has gotten old.
