Garlic-infused mashed potatoes that are smooth and delicious, great as a side dish for any meal.
Ingredients: 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and quartered. 8 cloves garlic, peeled. 1/2 cup milk. 1/4 cup unsalted butter. Salt and pepper to taste. Chopped chives for garnish.
Instructions: In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the potatoes and garlic cloves. Cook until potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain the potatoes and garlic, then return them to the pot. Add milk and butter to the pot with the potatoes and garlic. Mash the potatoes and garlic until smooth and creamy, adding more milk if needed to reach desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with chopped chives.
