This slow-baked mac and cheese is a creamy, cheesy delight that's perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner or a potluck gathering. The slow cooker method allows the flavors to meld together beautifully, resulting in a rich and indulgent dish that will please any crowd.
Ingredients: 16 oz elbow macaroni. 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese. 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 4 cups whole milk. 1/2 cup unsalted butter. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. 1 tsp salt. 1/2 tsp black pepper. 1/2 tsp paprika.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the box to cook the macaroni until it is al dente. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the flour and stir it in until it's smooth. Cook for one to two minutes. Slowly add the milk while whisking all the time until the mixture gets thick. Add 3 cups of cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Mix the cheeses together until they melt and are smooth. Add salt, pepper, and paprika to the cheese sauce to taste. Put cooked macaroni and cheese sauce in a slow cooker and cover it. Add the rest of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top. Turn the heat down to low, cover, and cook for two to three hours, or until the macaroni is done and the cheese is bubbling.
