Before I get carried away with strider variations, I want to go back to the side kick through because I promised a progression for all you filthy animals out there who like to sweat (check two videos below this post for the level 1 variation). 🐒🔥🐒 Once you have the alignment and positioning down for this movement, you can start to add speed. This adds a much greater cardio stimulus (dur lol). The point isn't to go as fast as you can, speed will come with practice and precision. Focus on staying smooth and matching your inhales/exhales to the movement. 🐵😎🐵 This is a great variation to throw in for your high intensity interval training (hiit cardio). The work to rest ratio will be completely dependent on the individual and the program. That being said, try out 15 seconds of work and 15 seconds if rest for 10 sets. 🦍🔥🦍 If that becomes too difficult, just slow it down to the regular side kick through to finish your sets.
