I have an idea, that like, a minor god or something became jealous of the major gods and their Exalted and decided to make their own Exalted to be “better” than the other Exalted. But due to the god’s nature-both as a minor god and as someone with a deep sense of envy and inferiority- the resulting Exaltation didn’t turn out quite right. Basically the idea is a type of Exalted who are like shittier versions of the Celestial Exalted
They kind of have their own version of the Great Curse (even they didn’t even exist during the great war) but I think it would be more accurate to call them Inadequacies. I feel like the Exaltation would seek out people who feel jealous of something or someone. Or people who feel inferior in general.
They also have “castes” though whether or not they should really be called that is debatable. It’s really more like “what Celestial exalt type are you specifically inferior to?”
-The Solar dupes- like Solars but less. They have the Inadequacy of Perfection, which means they can be as good as stuff as they want but in the end they’ll always fail. Think Tex from RvB.
-The Lunar dupes- like Lunars but less. They have the Inadequacy of Change, which means that whatever change they make will revert back in the end.
- The Terrestrial dupes- like Terrestrials but less. They have the Inadequacy of Balance, which means their teams and relationships have a tendency to fall apart. Which is especially bad since a lot of the charms they copy are teamwork based, so they’re constantly joining and leaving and having teams fall apart.
-The Sidereal dupes- like Sidereals but less. They have the Inadequacy of Fate, which means all their plans either fail or end up causing an unpleasant twist in the end. At least they don’t have to do paperwork.
- The Copycats- They’re the only caste that’s an original. They were made to be the “better” version after all the dupes failed. They have the Inadequacy of Victory( b/e Victory was what the deity created them for, but in the end it was only Failure), which means no matter what they will not succeed at least not fully. They can either copy or steal (depending on how malicious they are) other people’s abilities.
