anyway, i've decided to upload my fausts alptraum drabbles to ao3. they were written back in 2023, when i was roleplaying as mephistopheles.
i should probably mention that those are not translated to english and won't be. aaaand there is quite some canon divergence (mention of other demons/angels, more focus on pre-canon)
i'd be suprised if anyone wanted to read it after all i've said though. here's the link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/82967811
Breeches roles in opera are so important to me. "Let's dress this woman in trousers so that she can play a man" spectacular. Sometimes the breeches role is for some innocent young guy but personally my favourite is when the breeches role is the character of a very horny twink.
Just went to the opera for the first time.
First of all, the Gaeity Theatre is great and so is Faust, chef's kiss. The Christian imagery, dark story and emotional depth were intoxicating and it was staged beautifully.
Second of all, I absolutely adore Siebel. Losercore but full of genuine compassion and the most soul crushing inability to influence the course of events in spite of noble efforts to the contrary. The genderbent vocals were a nice standout feature too.
~Fausts Alptraum~
I've played through this game like 3 times now and I still really love it
Elizabeth's portrait
I’ve sketched Christine as Siebel.
Now, here is a thing in my mind I can’t really get rid of.
In chapter XIII Christine mentioned to Raoul that she rushed to search for the Voice right from the scene during the “Faust”. Trying to find her angel she run to her dressing room where Erik then first kidnapped her.
So, here is the question.
Was Christine strolling in her Siebel costume during her abduction or did she have some really sick changing skills?
Both variants are equally amusing to me.
I should seriously make more Faust memes, I just love this opera so much.
