hiiii!!! you seem to be the absolute bestest expert on Welt, and if you don't mind, i do have a question!

ive never played Hi3 or checked out any of its content (all ive played is HSR) and im curious as to who Siegfried is and what his relationship to Welt is (in your interpretation)?

all i know of him is a few messages in your blog, and i am... very bad at connecting the dots

Haha, I wouldn't consider myself an expert on Welt- I'm just a nerd that loves dorky old men. But I'm glad you think so!

Siegfried Kaslana (aka Ziggy) is the father of Kiana in HI3, and can be summed up as a giant dork with the personality of a golden retriever and about as much brains. The Second Eruption manga tells their history together (and is just a good read on its own- you can read it online or buy the volumes as they're being published now). But, as a short summary....

Welt and Ziggy first met when Ziggy was 19 and Welt was 43~44. Welt is indirectly responsible for Kiana's birth- Siegfried met his wife Cecilia when Welt yeeted her into him. (Siegfried has no memory of Welt's involvement there.) Then they met again nine years later when the Second Herrscher, Sirin, appeared. Long story short, Welt and Siegfried essentially speedrun becoming enemies-to-besties, ultimately saving the world together with Ziggy's wife. (Fun fact, the only time Welt actually laughs or looks truly happy in the manga is when he's with Siegfried as they're going to the moon.)

Later on, after the Honkai war is over, Siegfried and Welt are still close friends! Close enough that they go drinking together often- it's to the point that if you find one, you're bound to find the other. (That's legit how they look for Welt at one point, by searching down Ziggy first lmao.)

I'm leaving out a lot because it's spoilers and the Second Eruption manga is really worth the read. But they're canonically good friends- my shipper heart just thinks that they'd also make fantastic friends with benefits!

Idk what to post so I just made something up a honkai au or whatever this can be called idk why how or anything I just did and want to participate in the fandom but the elysian realm storyline's sole existance depresses me and throws me into a fit of rage just like apho I will ignore and despise those storylines forever along with most characters in them

Anyway one day a very sad small Kiana (K-423 post Siegfried's acceptance of her which I don't remember the details of at all by this point, I also made her know that she's a herrscher because why not, hoyoverse can write bullshit for their game I can do that too) just asked Ziggy if there were any good herrschers and he panics and starts telling her about welt to cheer her up (and even makes some stories up) so Kiana becomes a HoR fan or something like that

do you think if cecilia had survived the second eruption, her and siegfried would've tagteamed welt almost immediately following the battle (and recovery ofc)?? because personally it's one of my favorite ideas right now. welt going after husband AND wife 😭🙏 (or more realistically, them going after him)

.... I like the way you think, anon. 😈 I mean, I'm already convinced Welt and Siegfried fucked while traveling to the moon.

But to think about it. Cecilia and Ziggy defecting from Schicksal and joining AE. Ziggy is already a massive Welt fanboy, so he'd want to help him recover after remaking his body, and Cecilia's not blind- she can see that 1) her husband has a crush and 2) Welt is very easy on the eyes. And he saved Siegfried's life!

So maybe they propose a threesome as thanks. And things progress from there. They get along. Welt is no longer so lonely, Cecilia has someone to help manage Ziggy (and Kiana), and Siegfried has someone to hang and be bros with.

Ultimately, Kiana's the winner out of this because she gets two dads out of the deal!
