Here's a walk cycle of one the dreamers:
Gordon! As far as character animations go, it's a little hard to balance making tons of sprites vs tons of backgrounds. So something like this ends up being made very late. However they are probably the most important graphics to use when it comes to characters.
I'm taking the liberty of making each dreamer walk cycle be unique and done from the ground up. This comes off as counter-efficient, I mean why not just base it off a template? However the way a person walks can tell you everything about the character. Take Gordon for instance, he's always going on his own path ahead of you. It can be hard to keep up with him during his story. His strides have a very forward stomp to them to such an exagerrated degree. While this may seem a little overboard I find low res art gives you no choice but to go big or don't go at all.

“Siesta-Rena” has been a labor of love over the past few months but like most of them when things start to come together they’re definitely worth it.
As you can see with our game within a dream within our game. An old school adventure throwback to the days of the original gameboy. Alex has gone above and beyond to make it feel like a fully realized gaming experience and it’s not even the bulk of the dream it is featured it.
You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
This is just a friendly reminder that official voting has started for the RPGmaker contest. We encourage all of you to give our game "Siesta-Rena" a shot and to vote for it and maybe even reblog it here on Tumblr if you enjoyed yourself.
We appreciate any and all support and thank you all in advance
