sometimes I wish I could experience earth the way that it was during the pleistocene
#bc think about it#thats the environment that humans and other recent homo sp evolved into#its the closest period that we have to the present day#so we already have some idea of what it would be like#but at the same time#not really#because the ice sheets were much larger#so it would be jarring in that sense#but imagine the forests and the huge herds of megafauna#imagine living alongside another homo species!!#sigh ..#paleontology#pleistocene#thoughts#hominidae#geology#anthropology
