The very last of the bare branch shots:)
We're well into April and more trees are coming into leaf. There are a few laggards who won't come fully into leaf until the end of the month. On a walk around my local park yesterday, I made a point of photographing them. This really is it for the bare branch, rendered in glorious black and white shots until November!

Bare branches in the sunshine
We went for a walk around our local park yesterday afternoon (15.2) and…the sun was out! Not all of the time because there were a few clouds it occasionally hid behind but, enough to make a real difference to the mood. After what feels like endless days of grey cloud and rain, this was indeed a very pleasant surprise:) It also made a change to have light conditions that made not just the photography, but also the subsequent editing, a lot easier than it has been…

Dead trees in July:(
They're a sad fact of life. Most (but not all) of these seem to be elder trees. Dead and dying trees are something that I've got used to over the decades. Having said that, they're an indication that something is definitely 'off' with the environment…
