Fictional characters you forgot existed

Has anyone else ever read a classic novel and then forgotten that certain characters existed in it?

When I revisited Pride and Prejudice many years after I first read it in high school, I found that I had forgotten about Charlotte Lucas, Lady Catherine, and Mary Bennet. I vaguely remembered that there was another Bennet sister besides Jane, Elizabeth, Kitty, and Lydia, but I completely forgot her name and personality. And the existence of Charlotte and Lady Catherine I forgot completely.

Poor Mary. Not only ignored by her family and by society because she's both the middle child and the least pretty of five sisters, but forgotten by me too.

Can anyone else name a classic novel character they completely forgot about?

So I'm in the middle of writing the final chapter of Crowley's naked man friend and it feels like I've got so much to pack in. Why did I say five chapters? Why not six? I mean, no-one is making me do only five, but I am determined to see it out properly.

And weirdly, I had a dream last night about watching Season three. I can't remember much because it's mostly fuzzy, but I do remember one part and it was a very distinct image of Crowley sleeping, trying to bury under the covers and a naked Aziraphale smiling and leaning over to persuade him to wake up. Lovely bare bottom. I mean, quite mild considering how smutty it could have been. But gorgeous and clearly not going to happen. But oh how pretty if it would.

It’s abjectly terrifying how many cultures I come from.  I am a nightmare when checking off race boxes because I have to tick off THREE.  And I’m white passing, which means that when I tell people ‘oh yeah I’m part Cherokee’ or ‘oh yeah I’m part African-American’ they look at me like “???  you’re Irish bro”.

We were in Tahiti researching a treaty when 'twas proposed we complete some graffiti. Regular graffiti is too discreet for me, I wanted some meaty, offbeat graffiti, some feet-y graffiti!
