you've known sidon much longer than link, having loved this man ever since you first met him, but never gathering up the courage to confess to him, due to him being a prince!
you were content with just being by sidon's side for an eternity, without ever confessing to him… and then you met link!
link came to zora's domain and changed everything for you! not only did you soon develop a crush on the heroic hylian, but your close friendship with link also made sidon realize his own feelings for you
sidon had always appreciated your company and he truly loved you, yet it wasn't until he saw you with link that he realized that the love he had for you was romantic!
link was quick to realize he had some sort of attraction towards you, yet he was hesitant at first to act upon it, as he realized that sidon and you seemed a bit too close to just be friends
link actually consulted sidon about his feelings for you, making it clear to the prince of the zora that he liked you and asking sidon for permission to act upon those feelings and ask you out
and sidon couldn't say no, despite how much he wanted to! he had no right to tell this boy that he wasn't allowed to confess to you
but sidon knew he had to make a move on you as well and state his feelings for you clearly! if he lost to link, then he at least wanted it to be with all cards on the table!
If Nintendo really did put Yona in Tears of the Kingdom to discourage Silink shippers, they failed, cause I ship Silink now even more than I did before the game came out

Description:
Sidon hadn’t been around the last few times he visited the Lanayru region – off on business, as he was the newly appointed ambassador for the Zora, now that Zelda had restored the castle and taken her place on the throne. They seemed always to switch places, Sidon and Link. When one was at the castle, the other was at the sea, thinking of him.
Disclaimer: I don’t own any of Nintendo’s characters or locations or anything like that. If I did, I’d be rich.
A Lanayru Sunset
The sun never quite seemed to set over the Lanayru Sea. The reflection caught in the crystalline waves was too perfect; instead, it seemed more like the sea rose to embrace it, and the brilliant array of pinks, reds, and golds that blazed across the darkening horizon were the steam rising from their union – a soft, fading testament to their love. It never failed to arouse something in Link that was unlike anything he had ever felt before: a strange mixture of awe, admiration, and, sometimes, fear. It was for this reason that he made an effort to see it as often as he could during his travels along the coast. It was the only time he truly felt alive.
Well, not the only time. His mind drifted along the ripples and waves that swept away the final glimpse of the sun. A thousand hues of red swirled through the water, and his mind. Red, like passion. Like… a certain someone. He felt heat rush through his entire body.
“Link…?”
The deep voice tugged Link from his thoughts. He sat up and turned to scan the land behind him. There was no road to this area – he’d climbed quite a bit to get to this secluded beach, and even paraglided down from the overhang a few hundred feet above.
“Behind you,” the voice chuckled.
“Sidon?” He couldn’t mask his excitement as he called out and whirled back toward the water. He found himself nose to muscled chest with the Prince. Sidon grinned down at him and reached out quickly to prevent Link from stumbling backwards. The strong, smooth arm wrapped firmly around Link’s waist, and the Hero felt his cheeks quickly reddening to match it. “Where did you…? I didn’t see you,” he stuttered. Sidon’s eyes sparkled mischievously.
“I know you didn’t. I was waiting for you to notice me, but you were lost to the world, weren’t you?” He leaned down, pressing their foreheads together. “Tell me, what were you thinking?”
Link couldn’t have lied if he wanted to. Sidon almost seemed able to read his mind. “I was thinking about the last time we were here together.”
Sidon pulled back and nodded. “Yes, I often think about that, too.”
Link’s face grew, if possible, even more flushed. Sidon laughed softly at him. “Do you remember how it happened?”
“Which part?” Link responded dryly.
“I was thinking… This!”
All at once, Link was flying through the air. He hit the water with a massive splash, and sunk a few feet before he could get his bearings. Before he was able to panic, Sidon’s firm body was against his, and he was pushed to the surface. Spluttering, Link said, “S-Sidon! I wasn’t ready!” All he got in response was Sidon’s deep, melodic laughter in his ear, and a hand swept along his back.
“I know you weren’t. That’s what made it funny.”
“You’re awful,” Link said, but the laughter was infectious. His scowl quickly turned into a smile, and then a full-blown beam. Sidon had the advantage, obviously, and especially because Link wasn’t wearing the proper outfit for the job, but he managed to hold his own in the splash fight that ensued. At last, though, Link cried for mercy. “I need a break!” He laughed.
They returned to the beach. Link stripped out of his drenched tunic and began to wring it out, unaware of Sidon’s gaze burning into him. “My clothes are ruined,” Link complained.
“Good.”
Link paused, then turned to face the Prince once again. “Good…?” He echoed softly. Excitement set his heart pounding against his ribs, like a bird trapped in a cage. Sidon stood up from the sand and approached. All at once, their bodies were pulled tightly together. Link laid his head against the taller man’s chest and listened to his heartbeat. It was just as quick, if not quicker, than his. Unable to resist, Link leaned up onto his toes and pressed his lips to Sidon’s neck, and then slowly down his shoulder.
“Link… Do you remember it?” Sidon’s voice was low… hungry.
Link nodded, his lips following the curve of Sidon’s shoulder too feverishly to respond.
“And… Do you…?”
He didn’t need to finish the question; Link answered before he could finish speaking. “Yes.”
Sidon nodded and swept him into his arms. Cradled against Sidon’s chest as he began to lay down upon the sand, waves just barely lapping at their feet, Link found that he felt a lot like a Lanayru sunset.
