Silva remained quiet at first. She didn't like how Ruby seemed to apt to swap places with her...she didn't understand, nor in a way did she want to. At first her brow was pursed, eyes semi squinted as she looked down then back at Ruby.
She had a responsibility, she had a role! She belonged...and she was going to help people! So why would she want to switch with her brother to have him do it instead? She wanted to help people. She WANTED to. It wasn't being forced on her, not...not entirely. Not forced on her as much as it could be.
" ruby, nu, it's ukay!! i want tu help père, yu dun't need tu du that. "
...she wasn't even sure what she was supposed to do to help people. But could a switch even happen? She didn't want to think about it. Silva didn't want to lose her purpose, she didn't want to lose her role.
“But what if it kills you?” Ruby said, “ I just. . . You’re a person. And I’m just a clone, isn’t it better if someone meant to be disposable dies?”
He didn’t want to die of course, its why he did his best to escape from Verstael. But Silva was so good, so bright! Killing her felt wrong, like killing a baby Chocobo. Besides, what if he didn’t have a full lifespan like he thought? He’d been too afraid to ask Xerosic if he could check. So for all Ruby knew, he might have only been designed to last for a short while. It would be even more terrible, if she died and he just randomly turned to goo a week, or a month, or a year later.
“I just. I don’t want to lose you, or for you to be sad about people dying.”
