haii real reason i was on your profile was to send an ask about oos, but i got sidetracked by the knitting post LMAO
nyways !! got listening to the oos playlist again (bc of the other post from,, was it mars' ask? i'm sorry if i got that wrong TT) and just wanna say that i'm still waiting for the fic(s) patiently and excitedly because the posts about it make me spin oos!ranchers in my head. also turk's art are always bangers, so i feel very lucky to be following the posts since the start and lurking around the posts.
AND BY THE WAY i saw your post about one of my tags late,,, the one with "what if oos!tango pursued music?",,, sauce your honor i am scared but also soooo looking forward to what that was about LMAO
and while i'm here !! will also put out there that all the snippets/posts for the other AUs you're working on (moe, sticks, etc.) have also been consuming my thoughts /positive !! i can't express enough (more like,,, don't know how to express it rip) how much i enjoy your writing style and how i try to pick up how you characterize your characters when i (try to) write :')
okie thanks and take care !!

Hi ree!!! I cannot express how happy I am to see a lot of my anons back in the box. I get the biggest smiles I swear.
OOS is a total brain killer lowkey. It's just got such heavy scenes in the first fic that I'm struggling to get her where I want her. I need to lighten some of it up so it's not just a total turn off from the au. But, I will agree with you than Turk's art is banger. (He has commissions open right now for anyone interested. I don't often signal boost but I just think there should be more turk art in the world lol) I'm forever blessed that he wants to draw for my silly ideas.
I did a little gander though my page to remember the post you were talking about and I'm giggling again. So Tango's 'backstory' for OOS doesn't get explained until the whole au is done. I KNOW. so that means it's in the Trial and Error limbo of sauce-takes-forever-to-write-and-will-need-three-business-years-to-finish-one-au-at-a-time. I will try my best to work in little bits of is lore though and at some point, I'm sure I'll cave and just spoil the story here. TLDR: I looked at turk and said "you know what would be fucked up?" and then we made it canon.
Thank you for all the nice words Ree. I feel like my writing has gotten so dense lately that I struggle to get my point across, so it makes me really happy that you can enjoy the little bits i've been able to write. Part of my joy in fandom is tossing snippets out and seeing people enjoy them.
RAH!!!! sending you so much love ree, I hope you're well <3
kim-ruzek said if she was kim she wouldnt have able to forgive adam so easily for his relationship with hailey in s6, for keeping it a secret from her. she said that would have destroyed her trust in him and made it difficult to keep personal relationship with him. thats why she would have rejected him in infection. she wouldve never gone to sleep with him like kim did. she said kim made a mistake forgiving him and sleeping with him in s7. what do you think?
I love when people talk to me about my beloved @kim-ruzek! Ree my babe ily.
That's what Ree would have done, but for me idk? I can't say how I would have acted in that place and that's ok. We all have different things. As for Kim making a mistake...I wouldn't call it that. But I think if she hadn't had such an emotional day she may have made a different choice. And that's ok.
scanned them in so I could use photoshop to get the colors closer to how they are rather than how they photograph. -.-
@skullkxd ‘s Ree and @picavecalyx ‘s Silva in watercolor in my sketchbook. Originally it was just Ree cause I was messing with my watercolors at breakfast, decided to add Silva so I’d have a pair of paintings.

Kim was curled up on the couch, a blanket over her feet as she flicked through tv shows. Adam was stuck working late on a bombing threat, so she was alone for the first night in a week. She missed having him there beside her.
It had been six months of them together, and she was nearly certain that Platt knew about them. She’d given Kim a couple of looks after hearing Kim say that she’s going home to unwind as if the Sergeant knew exactly what Kim was doing. Or rather, who she was doing.
This relationship with Adam was terrifying to Kim, that they were making things work and work well. He made her smile. That was the biggest thing she had learned was that he wanted her to be happy. He wasn’t delighted that they were still keeping their relationship a secret, but he wanted to do what would make her happy.
And she was starting to come around on admitting the truth to everyone. It wasn’t fair on Kevin to not know that two of his closest friends were dating, and she wanted to be able to hold his hand in public. And if things ever went wrong in their jobs - she’d seen how wrong it could go already - she wanted to know that he’d not only be told but be able to be there for her. The first few months it made sense to keep things to themselves, but not anymore. Not when she was sure about this.
A knock on the door startled her, but a moment later the lock turned, Adam opening the door with a weary expression. He smiled seeing her as Kim stood to walk across and wrap him in a hug.
“Everything ok?” She asked as she led him to the couch. Adam sat first and pulled her into a cuddle, his hands running through her hair as he calmed. Her boyfriend was constantly vibrating with energy but now with her in his arms he calmed. It was one of the things she appreciated that he could relax with her.
“Yeah…just. Yeah. A patrol cop was shot. He’s fine, but it was the job you would have been on if that guy you had for two shifts had stayed your partner. Just made me think.”
Kim sat up, looking at him and running her hand along Adam’s cheek. The worry was clear in his brown eyes so she leaned up to press a soft kiss against his lips.
“I’m ok. I’m right here, Adam.” He pulled her into a kiss, Kim’s legs straddling his thighs as she gripped him closely. Every ounce of emotion she felt for him was pushed between them while she stared into his eyes, forehead to forehead.
“I know. I just…I love you, Kim.” His voice was soft, Kim grinning at the words. His face lit up at her smile, watching her expression soften.
“I love you too.”
He stood up and lifted her with him, her legs wrapping around his waist as he carried her to her bedroom, murmured words of love and devotion between them.
Kim woke to the sound of Adam’s cell ringing beside him, the sharp ringtone piercing the night air. She watched him turn over and answer with sleep filled roughness.
“Ruzek…yeah, ok. I’ll head over now. No I’m not home, Al. I’m at my girlfriend’s. Somehow I manage a personal life, it’s a miracle. Yeah. Yeah. I’ll meet you at the scene ok?” The phone went down, Adam rolling over and kissing Kim’s temple.
“I’ve gotta go. We caught a break on the case we’re working, it’s all hands on deck.” Kim turned to face him, her hand wrapping around his wrist.
“Stay safe. Love you.” It was so easy to say now that they had and her face lit up with joy at his expression.
“I love you too.”
She rolled over and went back to sleep after he left. Sleep was fitful until her alarm went off, but she showered and put her makeup on to go back to work. Platt nodded at her as she walked in and headed to the locker room, but a call of her surname made her turn to see Kevin.
“Burgess!” She grinned and held out her arms for a hug from him, Adam standing slightly behind and nodding at her as Kevin hugged her.
“Good to see you. Keeping busy?”
“Yeah, it’s insane. The kids wanna know if you’re coming over on Friday? They miss their Auntie Kim.” He grinned and Kim nodded, a small smile on her face as she thought.
“I’m not sure. I’ve been dating someone and it’s kind of serious. I don’t know if we’re doing anything on Friday.” Adam widened his eyes slightly but Kim looked away from him, her attention wholly focused on Kevin instead.
“How serious is serious?” Her best friend was enthralled by the idea that she was dating, Kim nodding and smiling.
“Serious. It’s really, really good. I’m excited but nervous, you know?”
“Bring him over. He needs to get the Atwater seal of approval before anything much happens.” Kim laughed, but nodded.
“Deal. I’ve gotta go.”
When she came back from the locker Platt was standing at the desk, holding keys to a patrol car out for her.
“Burgess, a question. Are you sure you know what you’re doing?” Kim looked up at the older woman behind the desk and nodded.
“It’s worth it. There’s moments when you just know, right? I know.”
In the three years that Kim had been working at the 21st she’d never seen her desk sergeant smile, but Platt gave her a full one there.
“Then make it count.”
So on Friday evening after work Kim held onto Adam’s hand as they walked up to Kevin’s front door. She knocked on it, Vinessa answering the door with Jordan just behind her.
“Kim! Where’s your boyfriend? Kevin said we got to ask him questions tonight.” Kim just laughed, lifting the younger girl up for a hug.
“You know Adam, right?” The two nodded. “He’s my boyfriend. Think he’s a good one to pick?”
Kevin arrived out and looked at the two at his front door, at Adam’s sheepish expression and Kim’s determined one.
