August Drabble Challenge
You've been in a lot of predicaments over the course of your life, but this proves to be the worst one yet. Your best friend and almost-lover has been turned into one of the creatures you were destined to hunt. Clint has always been the sweetest guy with the most amazing personality. He's always treated you with respect, but times are different now.
The first thing he did when he was turned into one of those creatures, was take you from your home. You didn't even know he was turned until he flashed his fangs at you and threatened you to come with him.
You've been trapped inside his hiding place ever since.
He never tied you up or made you feel like a prisoner, but he won't let you leave. Every time you try to escape, he's right there to kill your buzz. After trying escape #50, you stopped trying altogether. You stay locked away in your room where he occasionally visits and brings you food.
You're not sure what's going on or if you'll ever get your best friend back.
"You need to eat. I won't ask you again," Clint says as he walks into your room with a plate of hot food.
"I'm not hungry."
"Liar. I can hear your stomach growling."
"Okay, well, I don't want your food."
"Y/N, don't be difficult." He takes the old plate of food and replaces it with the new one. He turns to you and stares into your eyes, softening his to try and convince you. "Eat your food."
"I've done the whole mind-control thing. I'm not a fan," you snap.
"I'm not mind-controlling you. Just eat your food. If I wanted you dead, you would be."
He leaves you alone in the room to think about what he just said. As soon as he closes the door, he can feel his fangs slide down his teeth. He takes a few deep breaths, concentrating on your breathing from inside the room.
He knows you'll never believe him when he says that he took you because you're his anchor to his humanity. If you're gone, then he may as well be too.
