Satan’s Sons MC series
Reaper’s Claim
I didn't know what to expect from this series even though I have read other books from Simone Elise. I knew this would be very cliche and somewhat annoying but I liked it anyways. Abby was bratty and childish but cold and unnerving at the same time. Kim drove me insane at the beginning but when the girls swapped roles I started to like her. Reaper (Kade) and Trigger are so stereotypical. I was a little annoyed at just how cliche all the bikers and the MC really were. But yeah I will totally be reading the rest of the books because I know that eventually Abby and Reaper will have closure, probably not a happy ever after but at least an ending. It was cool to see Jax and Amber again. I love their series and can't wait to see more of them here and there.
Reaper’s Rival
*Spoilers* Everyone in this book was annoying. Abby with her lying and self-loathing. Kim with her brooding and whining. Roach with his stubbornness. Reaper with his pouting and self-destruction. Trigger with his ego. But Reaper was also loving and attentive and caring, when Abby would let him. I was so upset and crying when Abby lost the first baby. And so happy when she had a healthy baby at the end. And wasn't it so kind of Jacobs to wait until she gave birth the take her. What a gentleman! I was happy to see Jax and Amber again, but seriously Amber starts a lot of shit for Abby and Kim. Overall I was less happy with this book than the first but I was happier with Reaper in this one. And Drake, poor love sick, Drake. Daniels wasn't really as bad as Damon but not right for Abby. I'm giving this one 4 stars because I like some of the characters and the general storyline.
Reaper’s Redemption
I liked the overall series even though several times the overload of cliches was just about too much. Abby made me finally like but still not love her. And Kim just made me frustrated more and like her a little more. I loved Reaper and Trigger in this one. I felt bad for Trigger. He tried to go against everything he was for Kim and she still pushed against him. Reaper experienced what no man should ever experience and came through it just a little worse off. I felt worse for Tyson than anyone. That poor kid has been through a lot in such a short period of time. The epilogue sets up Forbidden so well and I am excited for it. Ms. Elise LOVES cliches and at times I went with it but Abby's story is the same as Amber's in the Monarchy series. I was excited for Amber and Jax to be in these stories but then Amber just became a shit starter and a nuisance.
This is a cliche filled motorcycle club romance series with the typical bad boy biker and the sweet girl who goes bad but gets her guy in the end with the house and the kids. But I loved it even with all its faults. BUT I hate the covers. Good grief the girl on the last one looks like she was taken off one of those barely legal porn sites. YUCK!
Tattooed love by Simone Elise
I liked some of the parts of this book but there was still things that just didn’t sit right with me.
The main character Amber was great and although I personally think she could have done things so differently, I still wished she would get her happily ever after. I also loved Jax and I was always on his side. To me, he was quite lovely even though in real life he woud probably not be the guy for me.
The plot kind of went back and forth, back and forth... which I didn’t like, I think the book could have had so much more in it but that just never happened. And I absolutely hated the ending, and even though I got the feeling this book will have a sequel, it just really wasn’t an ending at all. The characters just went to back to how it was during the whole book, on and off, be together or don’t be, I want you, I don’t want you... the characters just went back to that drama they had throughout the book. In a way the ending was a huge cliffhanger that might get an explenation or it might not.
All in all, this book had the makings of a really great love story with a bit of twist but then it just never really delivered. I really wanted to give this book five stars and love it but the truth is, I can’t.
