While far from a major character, let alone a major player in the narrative, Selena Belmont, Simon’s eventual wife, touches on a plot point that I don’t know if many people have talked about it.

A simple farmhand girl, I’d imagine Selena’s life was relatively normal for the late years of the 1690s, marrying Simon probably around 1700, à la Haunted Castle.

And considering Juste exists, Simon must have contributed an heir at some point.

But if you notice, Selena has a bit of a resemblance to Dracula’s long dead wives, Elisabetha and Lisa (which is ironically a nickname for Elisabeth/Elisabetha). Makes me wonder if his motivations for taking her had more to them than just revenge.

Maybe after Simon’s Quest, Dracula’s spirit was still around and saw Selena, and became infatuated/obsessed with her.

Tried to keep a RS look while being a little more semi-realistic in style.
