Ok, so I know I’m extremely late to the party but ever since I stumbled upon this post, I just couldn’t resist the itch to make something.
So, this is just a quick draft for an animatic idea I had, where everyone’s alive (please let me have this one thing) and in the middle of making a new home for themselves, 5 found a bunch of records and found a particular favorite (look I get it makes no sense but please let me have this, ya just gotta spare a few brain cells) which is the original rendition of Mr. Cellophane by Barney Martin (I’m sure??) and he loves it so much! He used to follow the others when they went out to explore, but ever since he found the record, he’s been following them less, saying he needed to finish up an invention or some other excuse. He isn’t the best liar, the others know this, but think no harm of it. But 9 got curious one day and decided to see what was this big invention of 5′s, and lo and behold, 5 just tinkering away whilst singing over the record, livelier and more comfortable than he’s ever been.
Obviously, he stays till the end of 5′s lil private concert, seeing he hasn’t even noticed he had an audience, and just in such disbelief and amazement! Shaking his head like ‘no fucking way’ but also ‘daaaaammmmmnn’.
Maybe the others sorta join in to watch 5 belt away, maybe not, haven’t decided, but it ends with a very flustered, stuttering 5 and a /(bunch of) very impressed and baffled stitchpunk(s).
I am definitely going to do this, but because I got other projects, it’ll take a while, so if anyone sees this at all, and is interested at all, then stick around! Again, it’ll be a while
