1. What is your blog title from?

If we're referring to my username, it's just my online handle! Have been using it for years, haha! If it's the actual blog title, as a geologist I often use teeth texture tests for diagnostics, especially with sediment analysis, so . . . I eat rocks in real life as well as online, hehe!

Like... What's the context 😭 okay, I'm trying. Speaking on the phone: never. Speaking to friends, face to face or voice memo: yes. Writing (by hand?): yes. In all situations always and fully yes. Typing: instead of calling, also yes. Typing when writing and I'm in flowstate: yes.

I'm still confused by this. Someone tell me what's the more correct way to answer this 😭😂 but thank you so much for playing!!

9. favorite time of day and why?

And you cannot say when I wake up

Hey, not fair 😂

Ok, my favourite time is morning coffee time. On weekdays, when I hear the coffee grinder I know that it's time for a break soon. On weekends I am prodding my husband to get up after breakfast and make me coffee 😂 He is the chief barista in this household.

It's the whole ritual for both of us. He grinds the beans in a manual coffee grinder and brews the coffee in Chemex. Yes, he's got a fancy little kettle with long spout. And yes, he also got other fancy brewing gadgets, but Chemex is our favourite one. It's his calming morning ritual. And for me any pour over coffee is much more superior than an espresso (you now know that's a self insert for Lydia).

When I am working I am always taking a break for a coffee. I started doing it when I was still working in the office - coffee time was sacred, I used to go to the kitchen with my favourite coworkers, we just talked about everything that is not work related. So now that I work from home I also take a break. If I have some urgent meeting my husband is leaving the coffee in a thermos for me.

I usually catch up on things on tumblr or chat with @woundedsoul12 if it's her working night, or read. On Wednesdays it's always the next chapter of whatever cosy fic @frotees-corner is releasing. On other days it's whatever is on my TBR list, but it must be cosy.

And I always have something sweet to go with the coffee. I am trying to learn not to eat too much sweets, but it's not going very well. Sometimes it's a pastry from the local bakery, sometimes it's something my husband baked (he makes excellent cheesecakes and cherry pies). And sometimes, like today, it's a very indulgent plate with treats (but we try not to eat like this more than once a week).

Everything else I usually use was taken and then I was just guessing random stuff! I don't even know why it came to me.

2. What's your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop, etc)

I just get regular hot coffee with half-and-half (snore). I don't drink alcohol, but I do drink an unreasonable amount of La Croix.

19. Write, type, or speak?

Type all day! My handwriting is AWFUL, and I talk way too fast -- I used to work at this hospital where we had to dictate our discharge summaries to get transcribed, and every once in a while I'd get one sent back to redo. Once I got called up for jury duty and I started answering a question and the court reporter literally said "come on!" to me. Brain going faster than my mouth can keep up I guess.

3. what are you looking forward to right now?

Spring Break! It is just around the corner and soooooo needed. But I am not ready for the end of the semester to be as close as it will be after that. So much still to get through…

Hmmm the music from Clegur does pop up randomly in memory after more than a week of doing Daffodil dailies on Braigiar and Halloth… XD

15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

Telling kids to redo the assignments that are redoable! Your first grade is not your eternal fate! Just go do the thing again until you have learned what you need to! Some of them have figured that out by now and will redo every. single. one that allows it, even if they had like a 90% on the first try, which is a bit more work for me but they need the practice and I'm glad they are taking the opportunity offered.
