Million-Follower Detective (2026)
WONDERLAND
Makeup by Magdalena Wińska | ART FACES
I got put on a job with Louis about four years ago I think. I was literally just like put on a job by my mate's agency, they were doing loads of content for Sony. And uh my mate rang me up and he was like 'aw mate, are you available over the next few days, we got a job coming, Syco one, stills done on a music video shoot.' I was like 'alright yes sound I'm available,' they're like 'art is for Louis Tomlinson, guy from One Direction,' I was like 'oh right, sound, yeah cool let's do that let's do that.' I, in my head I just knew that One Direction, they were a big deal, um, didn't really think much to it, so I was like 'yeah sound, really last minute but let's do it.' Um, got onto set, and then honestly me and him just got chatting straight away. Turns out we grew up about 10, 15 miles away from each other, so we just like, carry on from there, we just kept in touch. Um, and now he's a good mate of mine.

SHORT STORY: Ghastly Solitude
The door closes softly behind me, and I slump against it. It feels cool against my back as I slide down, reaching the floor at a slow and comfortable rate. The world slows down when you exit rain and enter a muffled house, doesn’t it?
The cat approaches me, chirping and pawing at my shoelaces. I scoop her up as if she is a most precious and fragile child - my angel.
It’s an easy transition to the couch. She lays on my chest, burying her head into my hand over and over. The heat kicks on, further muffling the outdoors. It is good to be alone in a warm room with a warmer friend so close to one’s heart.
Her head turns suddenly, ears swiveling towards the kitchen behind me. I coo and calm her, though her eyes do not stray.
I notice a flicker in the reflection of her eyes. A shape past the hairs on my head, past the cushion we are nuzzled into. I am almost too afraid to raise my eyes to the mirror on the wall in front of me.
I break a sigh of relief at the empty reflection, the simple stove and countertops are the only beings behind my skull.
Yet, her eyes stay trained. I look again, expecting my fears to be quelled.
Instead, the stranger is there. Closer now. The buttons of their shirt clear in my cat’s eyes. I cannot see their face now that they’ve come this close, but their hands seem to raise. Somehow, though, I know this ghastly foe is no stranger to this house. The cat has merely stood to greet them, ending my ability to see this trespasser.
My breath leaves my body, and I feel cold. My eyes are heavy, and I become nothing. Icy blasts continue to tap the windows; the cat tilts her head, receiving attention; and the heat cuts off with a soft click.
"Those Nazi bastards have reinforced the Cham-Pagin region!"

The One with the Birthday
Well, it wasn't my birthday, actually. It was a celebration of my friend's birthday, maybe she was my Best Friend in this period of my life. She's a "pretty woman" in all of the sense of this phrase - very smart, very talented in music. She was learning the history of arts at school. Now she is learning on a master degree programme (physics education).
A long time ago, maybe, I was fall in love in her, maybe.
So, here we are. She's going to be married, I'm proud of her.
It's her birthday. Very simple - tweeting with a company of friends with a pizza and a tea in her mom's office kitchen. Very nice - firstly we were going to the museum on a quest; secondly - we were very tired and frozen, 'cause we were walking through the city's streets. Yep, November was on the alleys. +2 °C, not chill, but with the wind - not comfortable.
Museum quest wasn't interesting, for my opinion. It was chaotic, long, and, maybe, unlogical in some tasks. But... Do we go to the museum only to complete the quest, bought for a few "doubloons"? Of course not! Unique arts - sculptures and paintings; people, who are walking on the creaking parquet...
All of it relaxed me and my friends.
We left each other not very late in the evening. But, I think, the memories of this day will be with us a million of years.
