1. PSD STRUCTURE OVERVIEW
The PSD file is organized into three main layer groups for easy editing:
Layout: Contains all text, frames, and design elements.
Parts to Fill: Includes all the smart objects you will edit to input your character's information.
Clan Background: Holds a variety of background options to set the tone for your character's clan.
2. CHOOSING A CLAN BACKGROUND
Start by selecting a background that fits your character's clan and personality.
I have included several background inspired by this fantastic Reddit post on Clan Palettes.
For ultimate customization, use the included abstract background. It has a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer attached as a clipping mask, allowing you to change its colors to anything you desire.
For a classic feel, we've also included backgrounds from the original Clanbooks (Brujah, Malkavian, Toreador, Tremere, Ventrue). The clan symbols are on separate layers, so you can freely recolor both the background and the symbol for a unique look. Want a purple background with pink Toreador roses? You can do that!
3. CUSTOMIZING THE LAYOUT
Once you've chosen a background, you can select a Clan-Specific Layout. These are located in a sub-group called Clan Layout and are available for: Brujah, Gargoyle, Malkavian, Nagaraja, Toreador, Tremere, and Ventrue. Like the backgrounds, you can change their color and style using Photoshop's blending modes.
All text colors in the Layout group are also fully customizable.
4. FILLING IN THE PARTS (The Fun Part!)
Now, navigate to the Parts to Fill group.
Name: Edit this text layer to add your character's name. You can change the font, color, and style.
Profile Picture: This is a Smart Object. Simply double-click on its icon in the Layers panel. This will open a separate .psb file. Paste your character's best portrait here, save, and close the file. It will automatically update in the main template.
Ranks & Status: Mark the appropriate levels for your character:
Vampire Ranks: From Fledgling to Grand Master Vampire.
Life Stage: From Teen to Elder.
Fame Level (if applicable): From Notable Newcomer to Global Superstar.
Hybrid Ranks: All ranks for Spellcaster, Werewolf, and Fairy are included.
Select your character's Home World (icons are included for all worlds up to Tomarang, sourced from the excellent @windslar's Windslar PSD Collection and the Sims Wiki) and their Aspiration (options include Brujah, Gargoyle, Nagaraja, Malkavian, Toreador-painter track, Tremere, Ventrue, plus an extra Smart Object slot for a custom aspiration).
Traits: All trait icons are Smart Objects. Double-click to replace them with any other trait icon easily.
Career: Select from the included Camarilla, Anarch, and Sabbat career icons. There is also an extra Smart Object slot for a custom career.
Skills: Each skill icon is its own Smart Object, making it easy to swap them out. Fill in the dots next to each skill just like a standard VTM character sheet.
Powers and Weaknesses: Finally, fill out your character's disciplines and flaws. All icons here are also Smart Objects for easy replacement.

Q: Do I need Photoshop?
A: Yes – the template uses layers and smart objects. For Canva users, I'd recomend using @stormistargazer 's character sheet. To add a Vampire: The Masquerade feel, I gathered the assets I use to make my sheets in a zip:

as she does an excellent job at hiding her true colors, vera is instead known for her chic fashion sense and the timeless elegance seemingly embedded in her blood, rather than her musical abilities. although, if you asked her friends, they'd say that she should be known for her complete frankness. suppose you need to hear exactly what you need to even if it hurts, sit and have a cigarette with vera. she's not one to beat around the bush. unless she wants something from you, in that case, miss roche is a regular marilyn monroe.
the only other instance you might find vera in such a giddy mood would be when she's returned from an illicit meeting with her mystery lover; a secret well kept, for now...
