"The system established in A Ressha de Ikou III was significantly expanded [for A Ressha de Ikou IV], introducing concepts such as elevated viaducts and multi-level railway interchanges, thereby vastly increasing the freedom available for track laying. Furthermore, the game now allows for the construction of roads and the operation of bus and monorail services. It also addressed issues—such as portions of the map being obscured by the shadows of high-rise buildings—by enabling the camera viewpoint to be rotated in 90-degree increments. The user interface was further sophisticated through the introduction of a concept known as "Height Cut," which allows players to develop the map while viewing the city as if it were sliced ​​horizontally at any desired altitude. The later title A Ressha de Ikou 7 was produced based on the concept of recreating this specific game using modern technology.

While [A.IV.EVOLUTION] serves as an almost complete port of the PC original, its graphics and audio assets were entirely re-recorded from the ground up, and it features additional elements unique to the home console release. A "Best of" edition was subsequently released as well. In particular, the "3D View Mode"—which allows players to observe the city they have built rendered in 3D polygons—left a lasting impression on users and has continued to influence subsequent entries in the series. Although rendering speeds and similar performance metrics may feel sluggish due to the difference in memory capabilities compared to the PC version, the quality of the interface, graphics, and audio assets themselves has been improved. This title was released as a launch game alongside the PlayStation console itself; furthermore, its data capacity—for better or worse—was considered exceptionally large for the era. I think my favorite thing about Fields of Mistria is the responses the farmer can give. One of the early ones is "why did you come to our town" and the choices are like "to settle down!" Or "Cuz you were giving away free land you dumb bit-" 😂😂 Dont talk to Adeline that way Farmer 😂
