Unit 5: Mix-up Some Colours and See the Difference
The most primary part of this assignment was to recognize the jumps in between the mixing colours. For example, an extra hint of red can create variation of hue in violet that may be more like wine instead of the red-violet which I need as a part of the colour wheel. In fact, red-violet for some people can be wine whereas I see wine as more of darker hue of red-violet.
Having no right answer to justifying “the perfect” secondary and tertiary colours due to the diversity in perceptions and emotions, the process of creating an accurate colour wheel based on my own discretion was challenging. Also a similar thought process took place for the Value + Hue column. Since the value is scrutinized by the lightness and the darkness of the hue, noticing the glimpse of change in value under weak fluorescent light was not the best idea to work on this assignment.
