2. If they could each describe each other in one sentence, what would it be?
Vasco: Julian is strong, confident, incredibly beautiful and when he thinks we’re alone, surprisingly sweet.
Jules: Vasco is clever, quick with both a sword and his wits, stunning and a wonderful mixture of tough and soft.
9. Have they made each other cry?
Unfortunately yes… Jules tries so hard, but sometimes he’s a little cold in nature and gets overwhelmed emotionally, he’s not great at the emotion part.
He snapped one time and yelled at Vasco, who yelled back and uh he might have suggested Vasco should fuck off and find someone else because Jules didn’t know how to be with Vasco sometimes (he meant anyone but he said Vasco for obvious reasons) and yeah, there was a LOT of fallout from that one. But they got through it.
Vasco on the other hand got frustrated one time because Jules was once again refusing to move or bathe or even eat, it was coming up to Connie’s birthday and he might have mentioned that Constantin would NOT want Jules to be acting like his world was ended and like Vasco wasn’t even here! Jules got mad and yelled, but the tears slipped out and he broke down. Vasco hated himself for that for so long, but they fixed it I swear!
17. What senses (sights, smells, feelings, etc). remind them of each other?
For Jules towards Vasco: The sound of the waves against the shore, the cawing of gulls, the scent of worn leather, the feeling of time worn wood beneath his finger tips and the taste of tart raspberry’s.
For Vasco towards Jules: The feeling of a cool breeze running through his hair, the rising of the sun, the sway of the ship beneath his feet, the taste of oranges and lemons and the scent of the woods in the spring time.
21. How have they changed each other for the better/for the worse?
For the better: Jules is slightly softer now, warmer with Vasco in his life. He will occasionally, but only very occasionally offer physical comfort and not just to Vasco. He’s also more likely to think before jumping into a fight, though not much.
Vasco is more relaxed around people, he’s more cautious in fights now (Jules already jumps in head first, he’s gotta strategise since his husband for damn sure won’t) and he’s a little friendlier too.
For the worse: Jules has become a little cocky and smug. He’s married to the Captain, he’s allowed to be. He’s also a little less diplomatic now a days. (Vasco softened him in some ways but he’s also looser with his replies whoops!)
Vasco has become somewhat snarkier towards certain rude people however, and will openly glare at a few people even during important events. (Jules rubbed off on him ok? Ooops!)
24. What is something they have each had to forgive the other for?
Aside from the afore mentioned moments, hmmm I guess for Vasco it would be that he had to forgive Jules for leaving when they had a frankly very silly argument one time, and going to a party at a ‘friends’ house and getting so drunk he passed out and stayed for the entire night. Vasco had no idea where the hell he was! OR if he was safe, or who he might be with! (He’s never done that again and is careful to let Vasco know where he is going when he needs to.)
For Jules it would probably be the time a woman openly flirted with them both and put a hand waaaay too high on Vasco’s leg while suggesting the three of them find somewhere more private to finish their ‘discussion’. The fact that Vasco didn’t immediately say no, instead just looked at Jules with a curious head tilt, hurt him a little more than he’d thought possible. (They’d discussed the possibility at one point, but both had decided they didn’t want anyone else, even a woman, involved in their relationship. So the fact it came up again simply at the possibility of it being a reality made Jules both sad and mad.) Vasco promised to never do that again and that he didn’t need or want anyone other than Jules.
26. What are their favorite parts about physical affection/sex?
Jules’ favourite parts about physical affection and sex is the way Vasco melts into his touch, the way he becomes so soft and pliant when he worships every bit of him and the warmth he gains from it. The way he feels so alive when he gets to touch and hold Vasco. Also the way Vasco moans and scratches his fingernails down his back, stomach or thighs.
Vasco’s favourite parts are the way Jules smiles at him, holds him like he’s the most precious thing in the entire world. The way Jules gives in to him and only him and becomes the sweetest guy he’s ever known. The euphoria he gains from the feeling of their skin against each other and the fact that he feels so complete every time they are close like that. There’s also the way Jules groans, grasping roughly at him and demands more, he loves that part especially.
So look, they have a great life now and they do love each other very much, but it isn’t all roses and rainbows and smooth sailing.
They’ve both had their rough patches but they’ve weathered the storm and come out stronger. Things are so good now I swear!
