Fresh Hop harvest ale in the keg and getting carbed
Finally got the hop trellises up so these guys don’t die or start to flower early. Back up to six plants
Been awhile but I had to make an Irish stout. A little jersey snow added.
Fresh hop harvest ale. This year I’m going amber.
Second batch of seltzer done
Finally had time to transplant the hops from the 5 gallon bucket they were in to the ground. This is how I like to trellis my hops. I use 1X’s on a pivot. I add eye screws at the top then run twine to the plant. This way I never have to climb to harvest. I just cut at the bottom and pivot them down. Waiting on my other plants to arrive from the grower.
Only 1 hop plant survived the winter after moving. Not even sure what variety it is. Anyway it’s going to live.
I was playing Kingdom Come Deliverance on Xbox. It takes place in Bohemia during the late 1300s. The attention to detail is amazing, including Hop yards in homes littered around the countryside.

Damn near perfect.

Always loved Yuengling porter so this should be good.
Hershey chocolate porter.
This is a no brained eastern Pennsylvania collaboration between two juggernauts. Hershey chocolate company and the oldest brewery in America
A little basement session and first time trying this beer.

Piney, resinous and west cost style all the way.
Great beer and a needed break from the NE IPAS
A frind who grows hops(although not so well yet) gave me a small amount to throw in my latest batch. Wish I had more. Cascade I think.
keeping this batch at 68 degrees. First time using a temp controller and i like it a lot. The last place i lived, the basement would stay at about 68 all year and never had a need to do this.
When I chill my beer I try to use the runoff water the best I can. Today the back lawn is getting watered.
