Surveys that specifically expect plurals to answer as one individual / the body/host, especially when it doesn't make any sense and is frankly impossible for us to answer as "the body/host" because we don't have one

Like, if, just as an example, it's a proper scientific research survey focusing on topics like ADHD, then I get why you'd only want one response per body (even if it's still frustrating), but if it's a general survey about people's gender identities or whatever then why do you essentially expect only the host to respond. Pretty much none of us have the same gender, and we lack any sort of collective identity or host...

This is pluralphobia and singlet-normativity.

Words cannot describe how much I want our external friends to pursue a friendship with all of us.

As the host, it's like I'm always the default. We only have one friend that acknowledges our plurality, but they will ask about the rest of us, but never says anything directly to them. Even when they sent a message, there wasn't a response.

Anyway, singletnormativity is annoying 😔

I think an easy way to demonstrate how you can't easily apply gender hot-takes to systems is with my friend & systemmate Julie.

She is a woman. She identifies as a woman. a cis woman. She formed as a woman, identifies as only a woman, in a body one would describe as 'afab'

She is a cisgender woman.

But does she have cis privilege?

She is in a transmasculinized body. Wei have been on testosterone for over a year. Muir legal name is a typical masculine one. Wei are very visibly transgender and masculine.

Anyone who sees her physically will assume she is a transgender man. But she is a cisgender woman. There is no discrepancy, not really. The issue is that people overwhelmingly view gender in an overwhelmingly singlet (and binary) way. One person per body, with one clean cut gender.

There is nothing you could do to “deserve” pluralphobia, by the way. Singlets that hate you for being plural would not hate you any less if you whittled yourself down into the most non-offensive, non-cringey, non-(negative adjective here) system they know. They hate you on the merit of existing and the only way that can change is if they choose to change their own behavior.
