Would you consider writing something about Yoda's Dark side? Is it like some dual-personality thing or something else? Basically get inspired by the fanart you reblogged :D
I am actually thinking about writing a story that portrays Yoda as the apprentice of a Sith. imagine small baby Yoda being found by a Sith, who decides to teach him.
Now, you have to know that the Sith and the Jedi still coexist when Yoda is a Youngling (at least in this au). The Jedi usually do the talking and diplomatic stuff and when they fail, the Sith spring into action to finish the job.
But there is one Jedi who despises the Sith and seeks to destroy them (jealously, or because he has been rejected by them). He is good with words and soon becomes the Jedi’s Grandmaster.
Yoda’s Master is the Grandmaster of the Sith and he is Master of the Living Force. But the Sith also have a small Council. The Grandmaster and five other Sith decide the fate of the Order together (they also have temples, just so you know).
Eventually the Jedi Grandmaster forms a plan and somehow he makes the public believe that the Sith are bad and evil (they are not, they just use the dark side). It comes to clashed between Jedi and Sith and eventually Yoda is being captured during such a confrontation (his Master thinks him dead and swears to bring justice or in other words, he wants the Jedi’s Grandmaster since he is responsible, to stand up for his crime). Meanwhile Yoda is tortured and brainwashed etc so that he believes that he is a Jedi. parts of his mind are permanently damaged, which is why he starts speaking strangely.
A war breaks out and the Sith fall deeper into the darkness, finding new powers (like resurrection etc) to defeat the Jedi. The Sith Grandmaster has fallen into a deep depression (he was/is attached to Yoda) at his point, which changes into hate and fury, upon spotting his turned apprentice. He swears revenge and wants to make Yoda see the truth. But his feelings change ones more, when his half-brother (he is on the Sith Council) dies in his arms. The Sith Grandmaster suddenly realizes the countless lives that are dying needlessly and he wants to end the war.
He confronts his sworn nemesis (the Jedi Grandmaster) and manages to kill him in a fair battle. Then he simply vanishes without a trace, leaving Yoda with the Jedi. The Sith Council is dead and with their leader gone, they break apart (groups form, like the line of Bane etc).
Years later (we are now in the time, when Obi-Wan is Qui-Gon’s Padawan and in this one, they have an awesome relationship and Xanatos probably never happened) Sidious and Plagueis are a terrible threat. Darkness threatens to overtake the galaxy. But Obi-Wan (the lucky one) somehow manages to bring the most feared Sith in history (the Council from Yoda’s time as a Youngling and of course the Sith Grandmaster) back alive…
I will stop here, because IF I truly write this story, it would be stupid of me to say how it ends. I just say this, Yoda has to confront his dark past again…
