Headcanons
happy holidays @skywankers <3
secret santa: @infernalandmortal
Hello and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Ahhh hey Abbey, it’s so nice to ‘meet’ you! I’ve really enjoyed following your blog and seeing all of the quality and HILARIOUS Star Wars posts you reblog!
For Christmas, I wanted to gift you with a series of headcanons/storyboards that I thought of for a Star Wars AU. I hope you enjoy!
The storyline is basically A New Hope’s with some canon divergencies and some of The Force Awakens thrown in there since there’s so many characters that I want to do justice!
As an addendum to this present, if you want me to write any (or all) parts of this outline thingie, I definitely will!!
Bellamy and Octavia are sort of like Han and Chewie - they galavant all over the galaxy in their horribly beat-up ship and try not to get shot, which is extremely difficult since Octavia fights pretty much everyone who looks at her wrong and Bellamy is on the run because he shot a very important senator who screwed them over and led to their mother being killed. Octavia doesn’t know about that last part and Bellamy doesn’t want her to know.
The two of them land at an Outer Rim spaceport and spend a few days there, getting more supplies and whatnot and when Bellamy returns to the ship, he sees a brunette girl inspecting the underbelly of the ship. After threatening her with a blaster several times, he realizes that she’s actually harmless. Her name is Raven Reyes and she’s a mechanic. A pretty good one too. She knows who the Blakes are and thinks that, if even half the stories about their escapades are true, they’re suicidal idiots. But at least their ship is cool.
Right before the Blakes are about to take off, they overhear what sounds like multiple blasters going off. Since Octavia can never resist a good fight and Bellamy is worried about whether or not someone’s in trouble (even if he won’t admit it) they stay and wait. So when two black dudes come sprinting out of the spaceport with Raven close behind, Bellamy lowers the ramp and lets all three of them come aboard without too much fuss (although he does tell Octavia that if they’re arrested for treason, it’s her fault for making him stay).
Their names are Wells and Lincoln and it turns out that they’re with the Rebel Alliance. Bellamy heartily swears at that while Raven looks inexplicably delighted. Octavia goes to work patching Lincoln up (he’s been blasted twice in the arm) while Bellamy and Wells have it out in the cockpit. Apparently the Alliance’s leader is being held in the Empire’s stronghold and Wells wants to go rescue her but, as Bellamy argued, the Blakes are their only ride and they’d be damned if they risked their lives to save some prissy rebel. He’s of the ‘whatever-the-hell-we-want’ mindset but he doesn’t think that’s what these rebels are all about
Meanwhile, Octavia and Lincoln share an awkward exchange where Lincoln accidentally lets it slip that he’s not actually a part of the Alliance. Wells had helped him escape from the Empire’s base. He used to be a stormtrooper. Octavia is not as rattled as Lincoln would have thought, which was good news for him since he thought the brunette with the piercing eyes was easily the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen in the galaxy.
Raven convinces Bellamy to help the two men so the rowdy crew sneak into the Empire’s base. It’s easier said than done, however: they end up getting caught in a tractor beam and the only thing that saves them is the smuggling compartments that the Blakes had the presence of mind to not fill with junk. Octavia, squished between Lincoln and Raven, almost hyperventilates from the close quarters. Lincoln notices but doesn’t ask.
Bellamy decides that the best course of action would be to hack into a computer and find out where they’re holding this rebel leader. Again, way easier said than done. Raven eventually handles the computer bank while Bellamy and Wells (disguised as stormtroopers) creep through the halls, following Raven’s instruction. Despite Raven’s warning, Octavia sneaks off as well.
Wells ends up being the one who finds the cell they’re looking for. When he opens it, Bellamy barely registers anything before a flash of blonde hair runs past him and collides with Wells, who yelps as she collides with him. Wells briefly explains that this is Clarke Griffin, his best friend and the leader of the Rebel Alliance. Her first words to Bellamy, after giving him an appraising look is, “are you a little short for a stormtrooper, Freckles?”
He retaliates by calling her ‘Princess’ for the entire duration of their adventure.
Meanwhile, back in the computer bay, Raven has shot three stormtroopers, broken the computer, and made a new friend…sort of. His name is John Murphy and he’s an actual idiot (Raven’s words) who works in sanitation on the base. He’s sarcastic and rude but he can help them get out and he’s actually willing to. Lincoln doesn’t think they can trust him but Raven replies that they don’t really have a choice.
Octavia follows a long corridor and accidentally stumbles upon a meeting room. She quickly hides and listens to the generals and commanders discussing their plans to operate a weapon which could destroy entire planets. One of the commanders, a tall woman with long brown hair and green eyes, seems especially keen on hunting down the ‘traitor’ (presumably Lincoln). A short, dark-skinned general with a tattoo on her face seems opposed to the idea.
Murphy warns Raven that her locked door won’t hold for long - sooner or later, someone’s going to come looking for whoever messed with the computer system. Raven urges the boys and Clarke to get back to the ship as soon as possible and ‘oh by the way SOMEONE NEEDS TO FIND BABY BLAKE”
Octavia, from her little shadowy hidey-hole, watches the commanders and generals file out of their meetings. The short, dark-skinned woman who had protested Lincoln’s potential court-martial and execution stops suddenly, waits until everyone else has passed, then speaks aloud. Octavia knows the words are directed to her. “Whatever you’re planning, do it soon. And tell Lincoln to never come back here.”
Just then, a red alert is sounded and Octavia scrambles back to the ship. Bellamy is already there, firing a gun while swearing at a blonde girl (who, Octavia guesses, is the object of this rescue mission). Eventually the original crew, plus some sadistic kid Octavia’s never seen before, shoot out of the base with about ten TIE fighters in pursuit.
The sadist - Murphy, Raven says - mans the rear guns while Raven helps Bellamy co-pilot and Clarke sits behind Bellamy. The two of them exchange witty banter while Octavia looks on, rolling her eyes and poking Bellamy in the side whenever he gets too sarcastic.
When they make it to the rebel base, Clarke is greeted with much celebration and the others appear confused as to why there’s two criminals, an ex-stormtrooper, a salty mechanic, and an angry teenager with them. Clarke’s mother, Abby, embraces her daughter. Bellamy notes with interest that Clarke seems disinclined to enjoy her mother’s company.
Octavia explores the base and, like the little nerd she is, ends up in a basement with a wooden box containing a lightsaber. Upon touching it, she sees things, things that don’t make sense to her at all. She takes the lightsaber - still hidden in its box - and brings it to her bedroom on the ship. Bellamy doesn’t know she has it and, for some reason, she wants to keep it a secret. She does, however, want to know why she sees their mother’s death every time she touches the saber.
Wells and Lincoln cough up the plans to the Empire’s weapon of destruction and Clarke gathers her council to go over a war plan. Bellamy and Raven lurk in the background along with some guy named Nathan and two younger hooligans named Jasper and Monty. Bellamy finds himself disagreeing with Marcus Kane and David Miller on battle strategy and it’s not long before Clarke pulls him away from the wall and into the group, insisting that he tell them exactly what he thought they should do. He noticed that there was no bite in her tone, not anymore. It kind of unsettled him.
Wells takes Bellamy’s place besides Raven and watches her as she listens. She tells him that she doesn’t like this plan. It was a similar battle that got her best friend killed. Wells offers her a side-hug and his heart almost jumps out of his chest when she leans her head on his shoulders. Clarke catches his eye and winks at him. She’s the only one who knows about his raging crush on the mechanic. Wells desperately hopes she’ll keep her mouth shut.
Somehow, the princess had convinced Bellamy to stay and fight and she didn’t even have to say a word. Octavia noticed all of that long before Bellamy had but it still made her grin with glee that her brother was actually giving his heart to someone else. They were both starting to fit in: Bellamy trained with Nathan and Murphy and Octavia often found herself sparring with Lincoln or hanging around with Raven. She still took out that strange lightsaber from time to time, although she didn’t tell anyone she still had it.
When the time came for the attack on the Death Star, Clarke has to restrain herself from hugging Bellamy goodbye. She settles for a nod and a hand-squeeze. Raven and Wells co-pilot an X-wing and Lincoln mans a single-pilot fighter. Octavia tries not to worry. In the end, it’s Wells and Raven who topple the Death Star (with backup from the Blakes. Bellamy’s flying skills saved Wells from certain death.).
When they return to the base, Clarke give up her self-restraint and chooses to hug Bellamy tightly, thanking him for saving her best friend. Bellamy, unsure of how to react to this affection, eventually gives up on overanalyzing and hugs her just as tightly. Octavia grins at her brother from behind Clarke, giving him a thumbs up as Raven’s newly-constructed BB unit rolls up squealing.
Happy holidays to @sithbellamy!
Main Pairing: Bellamy/Clarke
Summary: “i was super pissed so i went to the gym even tho it’s really late at night so i was the only one there and i was at the punching bag listening to music and you surprised me by tapping me on the shoulder, holy shit i didn’t mean to punch you, i’m so sorry, but srsly why the hell would you sURPRISE SOMEONE WHO IS ANGRY AND PUNCHING THINGS"
A/N: I actually really enjoyed writing this, very fun prompt and honestly got kind of carried away. I wanted to add on but figured 3k words was enough. Maybe I will continue it and just kinda make it a small short story? The ending I kind of felt like it had to be done due to your blog, but anyways, I hope this is what you were expecting/hoping for. If not I apologize. Merry Christmas!
Bellamy didn't think he was that angry until he went to the gym and settled on the punching bags around 8:30 PM.
Bellamy didn't desire to start adding in the training bags to his list of things to do at the gym, but Bellamy saw that Octavia was getting pretty good at her martial arts from all the classes she' had been in since she was a little girl, and seeing her kicking ass with what she had learned made him kind of envious of it. He wished he had decided on attending some classes when he was a kid as well.
Octavia also had a tendency to use him for practice and whenever she did she kicked his ass, a lot. Bad enough he was on the couch for a few hours covered in ice packs. And honestly, his baby sister should not have the ability to beat him up.
He talked to O about it, seeing if there was any classes for 21 year old men at her dojo and her response was “yeah but they totally suck.”
