WIP Wednesday
Shared this in the @codywannation community and thought I would share it here too. A little sort of sithywan being sassy and one commander being feral.
“Are you going to continue to shoot at me, or can I lift the ship off of you before your blaster runs out of charge?” One of the answering bolts clipped Obi-Wan’s robes, and he scowled. “What a stubborn one you are.”
Obi-Wan yanked the blaster from the clone’s hand with the Force and crushed it in midair, tossing it aside with an indignant huff as he muttered about the uncivilized nature of such weapons. Though he could not see the clone’s face, he knew amber gold eyes were following him behind the cracked and dented visor he wore. The sight of the nearly ruined helmet made Obi-Wan frown. Why pay for an army only to outfit them in poorly manufactured plastoid?
The clone tried to stab him the moment he knelt down beside him, vibroblade missing sinking into his knee by less than a hand’s breadth. He tossed that aside as well and ignited his lightsaber, expecting panic or fear but feeling only a wave of anger and then resignation from the clone. He used the Force to pin his hands, but even then there was no fear, and he raised an eyebrow before cutting into the plastoid to carve the helmet away so that he could check for head injuries.
“What are you doing?” Despite the fact that the man’s face was bloody and his left eye swollen shut, he spit the words out in fury.
“Saving your life if your injuries are manageable.”
“Why?”
“Would you prefer I did not?”
“I won’t tell you anything.”
“If I wanted the information in your head, I would take it whether you wished to provide it or not. Lucky for you, I do not require it.”
“Then why?”
“Because I think it is cruel to leave you alone to die a slow death on a battlefield already filled with the corpses of your brothers.”
“What’s one more to a Separatist?”
“There should not be any dead.”
“Wouldn’t be if there wasn’t a war. Might want to take that up with the other Seppies if you have feelings about death.”
“Such a sharp tongue. And here I thought I had disarmed you.”
