In case you're looking for a specific codywan fic you've read in the past but cannot find, please submit an ask including as many of the following details as you can recall:
additional characters/pairings
setting, major plot points (marking spoilers)
ratings/warnings/length/etc
In case you would like to receive recommendations, please describe what you're looking for, including the following criteria, if applicable:
rating (G/T/M/E)
length/completion status (eg. one shot, or no WIPs, etc)
genre (as in fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, etc)
setting (AUs, Tatooine Husbands, Order 66 didn't happen, etc)
I will of course answer to the best of my abilities but this will work if people add their own suggestions :)
The bullet points are guidelines, it's not obligatory to include all of them.
Feel free to just drop by and recommend a fic you liked.
If you would like to browse, I have made a post with the tags I use and a masterlist with direct links that should help you navigate.
Hello, ive been looking for a fic and haven't found it yet, ive read it a few years ago, and what I remember most about it is that I believe is was set during racko hardeen arc or some other situation where obiwan was declared dead, and cody is taking it very hard. He sleeps throught the night in the med bay, and a next day/ scene hes exercising doing a jogging route through the ship and he notices two troopers keeping pace with him stopping when he stops, and recognizes that his men have been taking care of him, following a protocol developed by the clones for helping someone through a loss of a partner/ close friend, of making sure they sleep/ have food/ arnt alone for a long time/ don't have a weapon on themselves etc, and thats all I concretely remember about the fic. It's not much but I hope that its enough to get some help, I would love to read it again, thanks!!
Hi,
I remember this scene, it's from Make your bed (lie in it) by glimmerglanger which unfortunately had been deleted from ao3.
You can still reread it, there are Google Drive links being circulated, the Wayback Machine should work too if you have the link. But since I've offered it before, I'm also happy to provide a copy if you can't find it, just send me a DM
for the anon in my inbox: I'm sorry for the delay, I'm working on a list, but ugh holidays and stuff :)

Summary: When Obi-Wan Kenobi was twelve, he was told he was too angry to ever be a Jedi. He wasnât good enough.
Only weeks later, he offered up his life in exchange for hundreds of others and Qui-Gon Jinn found him worthy.
When Obi-Wan was thirteen, he chose the war-torn streets of Melida/Daan over the orders of Master Jinn, and he ceased being a padawan of the Jedi Order. He resolved the conflict there and then, unsure where else to go, sought out his family on Tatooine.
It was clear he couldnât fit himself back into a life he was taken from as a small child. So, just shy of his fourteenth birthday, Ben Lars presented himself to the AgriCorps.
OR, the one where AgriCorps Specialist Ben Lars is recruited to assist in the settlement of the clone troopers after the war ends.
Hey sorry to bother you but I was wondering if you would possibly know the name of a fic Iâve been looking for for a while? I read it a few years ago and I remember I loved it, it was about Obi-wan and Cody sharing a bed on a mission on a cold planet and them just not stopping sharing a bed, it went on through the whole war, it was also a slow burn, I canât remember much else I just know it was good. Thank you!
Hey, no worries, this is exactly what this blog is for!
I'm fairly sure you're thinking of Make your bed (lie in it) by glimmerglanger which unfortunately had been removed from ao3
To tell you the truth, I feel a little weird about reccing/distributing copies of fics that the author deliberately deleted, I'm not sure whether there's some kind of fandom policy about this...? But I have come across multiple Google Drive links with this author's deleted fics (here on tumblr, and there's also a subreddit dedicated to deleted fics, apparently) so you can find it. (Alternatively, I happen to have a copy of this fic, feel free to message me.)

It's been my go-to codywan fic since she posted it and I've read it a totally normal amount since then... evidence of this can be observed in the comments of the fic. Mind you I didn't actually leave a comment every time I reread the fic. Sometimes I just chose to bother my super talented friend in her dm'sđŤĄđ
It's by far the fic I've read the most in any fandom I've ever been in and it still makes me feel all sorts of things even after having read it a thousand times by now.

A somewhat inclusive list of Codywan events, collections, and tags for the Codywan newbie--
In honor of @justleaveacommentfest and in light of the fact that thereâs a newer wave of readers, authors, and artists in the codywan fandom, I wanted to highlight some tumblr accounts and AO3 collections and tags where a newer fan can find a ton of works generated by a wide variety of authors and artists, including some of the fandomâs backbone consistently productive authors and artists, as well as genius one-off contributions.Â
There are lots of individual authors and artists on tumblr and AO3 who post in the #codywan on tumblr and in the CC-2224|Cody/Obi-Wan Kenobi tag on AO3, but itâs worth spending time in the different event tags and collections to really get a sense of the full breadth of talent in the fandom. Not all authors and artists post on AO3â so youâre going to want to check tumblr, too, especially for art. Â
This list doesnât recommend particular authors and artistsâ your mileage will vary from othersâ and thatâs totally fineâ so you will want to take the time to follow the tumblrs of the authors and artists you like to see who they reblog, and look at those same author & artistsâ AO3 bookmarks. Following and reblogging your favorites, and commenting on AO3 posted works are the surest ways to keep those folks going. Â
I do recommend starting with checking out the Codywan Week fills, since itâs a long-running, consistently excellent event with a huge range of contributors. You can do a tag search on AO3, visit their tumblr, or even better, look at their genius Codywan Week-ly Spotlight account on tumblr.
If you want to settle in with a big, long, codywan fic with art, check out the Codywan Big Bang tumblr and the Codywan Big Bang community on AO3, the codywan big bang and cwbb AO3 tags, as well as the Codywan Reverse Bang tags and collection on AO3. Â
If you want shorter fics, check out the bingo, exchange, and AU collections. There are definitely server and gift exchange events that Iâve missed here, and Iâd love it if folks would reblog with additional links.Â

Finally, some advice: Youâre on the Internet and have created accounts with tumblr and AO3 that require you to certify that youâre old enough to follow those sitesâ terms and conditions, and that you know how to behave like a civil, mature person on the Internet, so ⌠donât be a dick. Authors and artists are people like you at all ages, abilities, and stages of life. Some are under 18, some are in college and university, some are disabled, some are working full time, some have kids or run pet shelters or are doctors or eldercare volunteers or are just Going Through It. They're creating fanworks in their spare time, for free, and sharing it for others' enjoyment.
@justleaveacommentfest has a lot of great advice on how to leave a comment, but I promise-- a keysmash is as welcome as an essay.
What does "don't be a dick" mean? Donât reblog something just to neg it. Donât comment on something just to offer unsolicited criticism. Donât act overly familiar and make sarcastic âjokesâ to a stranger whoâs going to have no idea how to take it. Just play it straight even if you're not usually inclined that way (the only time I would ever offer this advice) and say what you liked and enjoyedâ or say nothing at all. Your grandma wasnât wrong about what to do âif you canât say something nice.â There were amazing authors and artists who've left the fandom and deleted their work because some "fans" were entitled assholes, and fandom is poorer for their loss.
If you donât like a fic or a piece of art, no one's holding a deece to your head, so move on. If you really donât like an author or artist's takes, block them and keep them off your dash and out of your searches. Anything else would leave both Marshal Commander Cody and Master Kenobi very disappointed in you.Â
Now go forth and enjoy, and may the Force be with you!
Reblogging this roundup of links to AO3 collections and Codywan event blogs here on tumblr, since I have seen lots of newer folks looking for fic recs or ways to get started. Enjoy!
"Vokara speaks before he can. âI didnât come here for your permission. I donât need it. I am a Master Healer, and it is my right to take an apprentice.â

-Love heals all wounds (so they say) by K_R_Closson
This is one of my favorite Star Wars fics.
The impact a simple yes has is just...ahh. a take on the legends/sorta cannon that obi-wan wasn't entirely begged for by qui-gon, and so Vokara Che, the head Healer steps in, and apprentices him herself. It does a fantastic job of staying true to Obi-wan as a person while adapting circumstances and situations.
Bonus points for being Codywan too!
Incredibly well written, incredibly well handled and I highly recommend it.
Hiii! I hope you're having a great day đ I love your blog, you were one of the first I followed when I joined the Star Wars fandom last year. I've recently started reading more fanfic as well, but the vast amount is a bit overwhelming. Would you happen to have any recommendations for me? I'm open to reading anything and any/all ships. I guess I'm very interested on reading more about the clones and/or about Mandalorian culture, maybe about the clones & Jedi, or about Jedi/Mandalorian relationships (as a culture not necessarily as ships I mean). Also if you have any time travel or social media fics recommendations I always especially enjoy those. Feel free to ignore this ask entirely, or to ignore what I say and just point me towards your favourites or your recent reads or whatever you would like to share. Thank you! đ
Hello!! Thank you!!! I hope you're having a great day too!!! I am flattered you've thought to ask me but I am perhaps not the best fit to give you fic recs haha!! I'm extremely picky and pretty much the only Star Wars fics I read are codywan- ones that are sweet (optionally also smutty), usually short, and have a very particular vibe.
I really only have one fic rec for you: come down from your mountain by @stormwarnings

âAlways,â Gree says, those eyes that never miss a single detail. âEvery single one of them.â

That's obviously not an adequate amount of recs so I need to outsource. Anyone reading this, please reblog or comment with a link to your favorite fic(s) that fit anon's needs!!
I know I could just send you my faves, unrelated to what you asked for, as you said I could... but it disgruntles me when I ask for recs for a specific thing I'm craving and none of the recs hit the spot so I don't want to knowingly do that to you haha
(Anon, if would like to research Mandalorian and clone lore, @fox-trot does great lore posts)
(also @ficfinder-general your help in reblogging this would be much appreciated!)
I am reblogging this again (tbh I wasn't going to because I don't really have the time to read right now, and usually I go out of my way to find at least a couple of new fics every time, but I do have a few recs in tally that could hit the right spot. But yeah, this list is gonna be lacking... Sorry).
First of all, I second The Legend of Liob, I don't think I've recced it before since it's technically not codywan, but it's sooo wholesome. And yes, fox-trot's research is amazing!!!
I have mentioned in our hearts some ancient song by whimsicalimages (@keensers) before, I feel like it has a place here because the lore is truly amazing. From the same post, there's the shoulder the sky series by Night Fury (@shootingstarpilot), which is ongoing (but updated regurarly!) and it has everything. (Eventually though, because it's quite long, but) there's time travel, wonderful customs and worldbuilding, a deep dive into Obi-Wan's past, and other relationships between clones and Jedi beside codywan.
Everybody Lives - But No One Makes It Out Alive by Anonymous_Radish (log in to see) - This is a Peggy Sue type time travel fic, except Cody and Obi-Wan don't really remember their past lives. 148k atm, also a WIP and truth to be told, I'm not completely up to date, but there's a lot on Mandalorian culture, the author included bits and pieces from Legends and a lot of stuff from fanon.
while the world still turns by GrayBlueGreen - 19k, Force artefact shenanigans send Cody time travelling (sort of The Time Traveller's wife style), he winds up meeting Obi-Wan at different points of his life. I don't know what else to say without spoiling it... Beautiful.
Honestly, clones embracing Mandalorian culture is a pretty common headcanon, I'd argue that it's so widespread that it's harder to pinpoint fics that don't include it at all, so you'll inevitably pick it up as you read.
Editing to add: this tumblr post by @literallyjustanerd isn't quite a social media fic, but I feel like it falls into that category: it's a spreadsheet and it's the cutest thing ever

They hadnât needed words in living: Qui-Gon was a man of action more than anything else, and they both had difficulties in unspooling the thick vines of feeling inside their chests enough to speak of them. YES!! ao3 authors basically universally will die for people who comment spam. we love to see it and we do not find you weird or annoying At All.
think about it this way: we ourselves are weird enough to have spent several hours, days, or Months writing down this story. we are weird enough about the content to do that! why on Earth would we be mean and judgmental toward people who care enough to get excited about reading it?? we shared it Specifically For You To Get Excited About!
