Really quick doodle of the Scitherak Lord, gracefully crawling through the tunnels of his domains

I'm thinking that Scitheraks would be excellent climbers, in return for their loss of flight, and would hang and climb on ceilings and walls to execute their assassinations.

My first intention was to do that with Sivelius hanging from the ceiling, but I couldn't draw that so I went with this Dx

Revamped doodle of a character concept I've had some time now-

Sivelius the Serrated

He is a cult leader, and pretty much everything about this man, from his feathers to his mind, is lethally sharp.

His skin and feathers have an iridescent effect on them.

He is a graceful fighter, and his feathers are incredibly sharp, creating an effective and light armoring for his slender build.

He's also really tall

(And a little spoiler, these two will fight in the fic 🤫)

He's inspired by electroplate tourmaline and peacock ore

has Gunmar or his parents met Sivelius the Serrated? If so, how did things go down since he's a cult leader.

Gunmar knows and has met him, and they are not fond of eachother, which leads to a fight at some point.

They have conflict because of their own respective egos and pride about their ambitions, although they have much more in common than they think ;)

Finally got myself to finish this fucking weed turkey

Not a fan of how the colored arm feathers turned out but whatever, at least it's done now 🙃👍

I first intended to do just a quick doodle to go with the other Siv pic, but I got carried away and wanted to make an actual artwork. It's still at a very crude stage, he's still missing some of his feathers (quite a lot actually...), but it's just to sketch out the scene a bit.

Revamped Sivelius' design a bit, he now has the secondary arm pair, since his species are related to Stalklings

Also, how do you make Siverious feathers? The degradation looks beautiful, I wanna learn how you do it

I use the same hoarse oil brush I mentioned in the previous post

First I color the feathers in one color on their own layer.

Then I do a clipping layer and add the dark blue/purple highlights (It looks different in every monitor 😭 on my main display it looks purple, and on my wacom screen it looks blue)

I press harder on towards the feather tips, and more lightly inward. I also erase lightly to smooth/blend the color (I use the same brush as an eraser texture lol xd)

Then another clipping layer above, where I add the light blue to his feathers with the same technique (only that now for inward I press the pen harder, and outwards lighter)

I don't know, this was pretty hard to explain, but I hope it makes some sense 😭🙏
