I get so offended when clothes aren't just expensive but also Not Size Inclusive?? Like what are you using all that money for? It does Not cost that much to make small/medium/large.

Name a song that rips your heart out cause it hits too close to home:
Drawn out in Sharpie where I'd take the scissors If that's what it took for me to look in the mirror I've done every diet to make me look thinner So why do I still feel so goddamn inferior?
Can't be too loud and can't be too busy If I don't answer now, are they still gonna need me? Can't be too proud and can't think I'm pretty Do they keep me around so their flaws just seem silly?

NEW EPISODE ALERT! This week is a return to my series about slow fashion and size inclusivity.
In this episode you'll meet two people working to get more people into slow fashion and highlight size inclusive ethical brands:
♥︎ Itohan @itsitohanhey is the founder of HNI Collective, a Philadelphia-based fashion service agency with a focus on size inclusivity and sustainability. And she knows alllllll about helping brands improve their fit and extend their sizing.
♥︎ Marlee is a slow fashion personal style coach and the host of @stylemeslowly where she features size inclusive, slow fashion brands and designers.
In these two one-on-one conversations, we explore the following subjects: ★ What challenges do small slow fashion brands face as they add more sizes? ★ What advice does Itohan have for slow fashion brands who want to be more size inclusive? ★ How do people who are new to slow fashion get started? ★ How can we support the size inclusive slow fashion brands that are out there? ★ Are pomegranates the sexiest fruit?
I also talk about "shock and awe" and how we can stay strong and energized. We'll dip our toe into the Target DEI situation and how it is a good reminder that the future is ethical small business.
And really…supporting ethical small businesses is the theme of both conversations, as we unpack the challenges small ethical brands face and how we can nurture them so they stick around.
I know things feel so horrible and scary right now. But as I've been explaining, the things we do every day that feel minor can actually be these radical acts that will steer us toward a better future. And all of the people out there trying to do things in a better way via their small businesses are a really big part of that: redefining what it means to be a business, employer, and worker, while also ensuring that their work benefits their communities. Yeah, not all small businesses are great (it turns out that there are terrible people in every field of work and community), but I see so many out there doing the work of educating others.
Shout out your favorite small business in the comments. I'm always looking for new rad people to follow!
