When did Sap find out that he was a mer? Did Bad tell him or did he learn a different way (like getting thrown overboard)? Did Bad even know that Sap didn’t remember? Srry for all the questions
NEVER BE SORRY FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS I LOVE ANSWERING QUESTIONS
anyway Bad had to tell him lol. He still hasn’t taken the cuffs off, so currently if he fell in water he’d just flail and drown instead of transforming. However, the cuffs do also burn him if they’re in contact with water, so after years on a navy ship with sea spray and rain, his wrists and ankles are scarred. He just normally covers his cuffs with bandages so they don’t get too wet. He’s used to it.
Sapnap actually didn’t believe Bad at first, so Bad had to shift to show Sapnap that he was serious, which Sapnap took…poorly. After all, Bad is MASSIVE, Sapnap is about the size of his pinky when Bad is at full size. Karl, per Bad’s request, has been trying to break the binding spell on the cuffs so far to no avail, so Sapnap has currently never been a mer, tho he now at least believes he is one.
Also Bad (and Puffy) were both devastated to learn that their kids didn’t remember them much (whatever memories they did have were misconstrued by navy propaganda), but for Bad it was especially terrible cause Sapnap didn’t even know what he was. Along with hating pirates, navymen were also taught to fear and hate magic beings, so hearing Sapnap’s initial rants about the monstrous nature of mers shattered Bad. It’ll take all three navymen a while to learn that what they’d been taught practically their whole lives was wrong.
The second part is here :D It's time for Dream's trauma ;-;
TW: Safe/soft vore, fear of being eaten, digestion mention (doesn't happen)

Skeppy was the first to wake up, giving a small yawn before stroking the soft walls of Bad's stomach to wake him up. He also took the opportunity to wake up Dream who was sleeping next to him. "Come on, wake up, both of you." he said, pushing the walls a little in case Bad tried to go back to sleep. "Okay muffinhead, stop pushing, geez." "Get Dream out first so he can go find Sapnap." he continued when Bad answered him.
Moments after he said that, Dream was pushed up Bad's throat before reaching his mouth, which opened to let out the mer. Slowly the green mer slipped out of his mouth with a hand in his own to cover a yawn.
"I'm going to wake up Sapnap." Dream said, starting to head to his room. He soon reached the room and when he went to call Sapnap he stopped when he saw his brother's bed empty and no trace of him in the room. 'Where is he? Dream wondered as he turned around leaving the room, quickly searching the rest of the house for him, but he couldn't find Sapnap.
Dream panicked and swam as fast as he could towards Bad, who was talking to Skeppy who had already come out of storage. "Dad!" Bad turned his head to look at his son, who was startled. "What's wrong, Dream? Where's Sapnap?" "I don't know! He's not here! I can't find him!" Dream responded in alarm with his hands resting on Bad's even bigger hand. Skeppy and Bad looked at each other worriedly. "You're sure?" "Yes! I've searched the whole house!" Dream said, starting to get overwhelmed.
“Okay, Dream, stay calm. We'll find him, okay?" Dream nodded as Bad continued. "I'm going to try looking for him over there." “I'll look for that other side over there then. Dream, you stay here, okay?” He nodded again seeing how his two parents separated to look for Sapnap. Dream was wondering where Sapnap could have gone, when something occurred to him.
The day before, Sapnap had said something about going to the beach. Sapnap had probably slipped away and headed that way, so he looked both ways to where his parents were and swam as fast as he could to the open sea before they saw him. He was going to go find Sapnap and he wasn't going to let them stop him, not even his parents.
He had been swimming for a couple of hours when he began to get tired and it seemed there was still a long way to go. 'How long was he swimming? How long did it take to arrive?' he thought, stopping swimming for a while so he could rest. He really shouldn't stay there still, since he was in the middle of the ocean, but he was too tired to keep swimming.
He let out a long, soft breath, suddenly freezing when he felt he couldn't move the lower half of his tail, sending a shiver up his entire body. He looked down with a small cry as he saw that a fish had nearly swallowed his lower body. He tried to push with both hands the mouth of the fish that every time he swallowed pushed his body even deeper into the stomach. Tears began to form in his eyes, his arms trembling as his hands couldn't take it anymore.
His arms finally gave way and the fish finished swallowing Dream once he stopped pushing, the little mer sliding all the way into its stomach. Dream let out a sob thinking that he would never see his parents or Sapnap again, if they found him. He really should have listened to Skeppy and waited there while they searched for his brother.
He closed his eyes, tears falling uncontrollably as the fish joined a school of fish, being caught in a net soon after.
---------------
"No, no, why? You know I do not like it." George said to the voice on the other side of the phone. "I know, but you could make an effort and eat fish at least four times a month." "Okay, okay, I'll add a fish to the cart... But only because I care about you." he answered as he approached the fish market. "Thank you George, I'll visit you someday, bye." "Bye, Mom." finished, hanging up the phone.
Once at the fish market, he simply chose a fish at random, without noticing the large bulge that the one he had chosen had. Once the fish was bought, he put it in the bags with the rest of the purchase and headed home. When he arrived, he decided to cook the fish that day because the sooner he ate it, the sooner he would eat something other than fish.
So he took it out and placed it on the table, finally noticing the big bulge that the fish had. “How come I haven't noticed it before? Why is he so fat? Did it eat anything before it was caught?” he said even though there was no one with him to hear him. He pressed a finger on the lump and withdrew it with a yelp as whatever had eaten the fish moved, making noises muffled by the meat.
“What the fuck!? Is what it ate still alive!? Okay… George, calm down… Just take the knife and carefully release the little creature…” he said softly as he grabbed the knife to his right and very carefully, he cut the meat being careful not to cut the little one that was still alive. Once done, he put the knife down again, inserting two fingers into the cut, gross as it was, and felt two small hands grasp his fingers.
Wait… Little hands? He inserted another two fingers, finally pulling the little creature out. George's eyes widened as he saw that the creature was a little mer now clinging as tightly as he could to his thumb, tears running down his cheeks. George slowly reached out his hand gently stroking the tiny mer's head as he tried to calm him down. "Shh... It's okay, you're safe now."
The little mer sobbed as he hugged his thumb even tighter. “I-I…I-I j-just wanted to f-find my b-brother…” George could feel his heart break at how sad the mer sounded, who just wanted to look for his brother. "I can help you find him if you want, but first you will have to rest since I suppose you will be very tired." The mer nodded looking at George. "Are you serious?" "Yes, I say it seriously. Now rest, you need it, okay?"
He saw the mer nod again and fall asleep in his hands, unable to stay conscious much longer. George walked out of the kitchen, finding a fishbowl in the living room, which he filled with temperate water, setting it on the table as he placed the little mer in it. Once the mer was in the fishbowl, he lay back on the couch, closing his eyes as he thought how lucky was the mer to still be alive after being in the stomach of a fish.
Skeppy woke up the following morning in Bad’s chest. The demon was actually awake and seemed to be staring at him.
“You watching me while I sleep, bad? That’s creepy”
The other immediately flushed. “W-what no it’s not! I mean I wasn’t even looking at you! And if I was it’s because there’s nothing else to look at in this cave....and you look pretty cute when you’re this short~”
“What the hell bad! I’m not short! You’re the one who’s tall!”
“Hey! Language!”
The two bickered for awhile as usual. Skeppy was happy Bad was acting like himself despite everything.
—
Bad is still a giant and it looks like he will be for awhile, but he agrees to go back to the badlands with Skeppy riding in his scarf. The first order of business is fixing up the mansion, so they head to the neather as soon as Skeppy builds a big enough portal for bad. The trip goes a lot easier than usual. Bad is fire resistant and can wade through the lava. He can also take down blazes, piglins, ghosts...basically everything With ease. Even so Bad is still careful to avoid stepping on any of the peaceful striders, which makes Skeppy smile a little, Bad will always be Bad no matter what size he is.
“Step on them, bad! Crush them! Crush them!”
“No skeppy! That’s awful don’t even say that!”
“Hehe but whyyyy?”
“Stepping on them is mean! And then don’t even drop anything anyway...” the demon frowned and poked Skeppy in the stomach.
“Owwie...” he whined
“Oh my gosh Sgeppy I barely touched you!”
“That huuurt” Skeppy pretended to whimpered
“Sgeppy! Did I really hurt you!? I’m sorry I didn’t mean-“
The diamond boy burst out laughing. “Hahaha, did you really think you poking me would actually hurt? My bones are made of diamond!”
“Geppy! that’s not funny! You’re a muffin head! Don’t do that!” The demon whined
“Ok ok, I’m sorry, but I have to mess with you a little when you’re like this!”
“...no you don’t”
“Bad come on, I’m sorry...”
“Grrr...”
“Bad, please I won’t do it again, I promise”
The demon sighed. “Ok I forgive you Skeppy, just don’t do it again.”
—
Mining quarts was a lot easier when you had a giant friend. Bad held Skeppy up to high places to reach quarts that was on the ceiling and they didn’t have to go around lava pools as bad could just walk right through them.
It wasn’t long before they had enough quartz to repair the house and then some.
—
Bad watched Skeppy fix the house. He was too scared to get close to it and risk falling onto it.
It took Skeppy about half the day to finish fixing it up.
“There” he said as he placed the final block. “All done!” He beamed at the demon who was sitting 20 feet away.
“I can’t fit in it...”
“You will once you go back to your normal size”
“What if I never...”
“Bad..we’ve been over this...”
“I know...I know it’s irrational but still...”
Skeppy approached his friend and took one of his clawed fingers and hugged it. “It’s going to be okay bad, no matter what happens alright?”
The demons face turned a muddy red. ‘He’s blushing’ Skeppy thought with a bright smile plaster fo his face. Bad smiled back and Skeppy swore he saw him shrink ever so slightly, no more than a foot, but it confirmed his suspension that Bad wouldn’t be stuck like this forever. “I bet one day you can learn to control it, then think about how much we can mess with the others”
Bad laughed evily . “Ooo, you’re right, I can force everyone to do my bidding and make me all the muffins in the world!”
“Bad...so devious~” he smirked, happy he managed to cheer his friend up. Unfortunately the good mood didn’t last long as lightning flash across the sky, followed by booming thunder and then a down pour of rain. “Shit...”
“Language...” Bad outstretched his wings to cover himself and Skeppy from the droplets. “You should get inside geppy”
“What about you?!”
“I’ll just hide out in the nether for now”
“Oh..good idea”
Bad picked up his friend and set him down in front of the mansion. “It’s late anyway. I’ll see you in the morning and hopefully the storm will be over by then..”
“Yeah...night, Bad”
“Goodnight sgeppy”
the demon lingered for a moment, Skeppy realized he was waiting for him to go inside. He went inside the mansion and he watched bad head towards the portal through the window. “Poor Bad...” he sighed and turned to go to the bedroom. It looked a bit different now, Skeppy wasn’t able to fix it perfectly. Not to mention Bad had crushed to the bed and most of the other items that decorated the room. Skeppy had to throw everything out basically. All that remained was a small bookshelf and a small bed he got from the guest room. He crawled in, Skeppy knew he wouldn’t be able to fall asleep. He missed Bad’s warmth and the way the demon would curl around him in his sleep. He even missed his soft snoring and how he’d hog the blanket and Skeppy would complain and try to take it back only for the demon to wrap one of his wings around the diamond boy to get him to shut up.
He was tossing and turning for hours before finally giving up. “Ugh! This will never work!” He sat up and stomped out, heading towards the nether portal. Skeppy was drench by the time he entered the glowing purple field.
It didn’t take long at all to find bad. He had dug out a little cave in the netherac wall and was laying down but seemed to be having the same trouble Skeppy was.
The demon perked up when he noticed his best friend. “Sgeppy, something wrong?” His voice full of concern
“No...well, yes. The bed I took from the guest room is super uncomfortable...”
“Oh?”
“Yeah so...um..can I just-“
“Stay here? Of course you can Skeppy! Come in” Bad moved so he body wasn’t blocking the entrance.
“Why thank you~” he said while hurrying inside.
Bad moved, blocking the entrance again. He definitely didn’t want any mobs sneaking in now.
Skeppy didn’t know what he was expecting. The little artificial cave was completely barren aside from some glow stone lighting up the ceiling. He turned to look at bad, who had his wing raised, offering Skeppy to cuddle with him, which the diamond boy gladly accepted, laying down on his friends chest. Bad placed a hand over Skeppy and curled his wings around the both of them in a cacoon, making the smaller feel safe and protected, in the nether of all places!
The demon hummed happily, and Skeppy could feel the vibrations of it. “Goodnight sgeppy, for real this time”
The other giggled “yeah yeah, goodnight bad, love you”
“Love you too geppy”

Day 5 of not knowing how to write but writing anyway
Is it a plot hole that Skeppy is able to sleep in the nether?
hear m out right m thinking that saps either a giant mer that the crew kinda pick up after he admitted he was lonely, or hes a little mer they nabbed from a shop (with full intent on making sure he was okay and letting him go whenever he agreed)
actually sorta! You’re right, he’s a mer >:)
(i’m totally not stealing @x-pair-o-dice-x’s idea cause i love their sapnap mer shifter story so much shhhh)
As I just posted, he was raised by the navy, but they put enchanted anklets and cuffs on him to keep him from turning into a mer when he got wet. There’s also a curse of binding on them. He doesn’t know what they’re for, he was just told if he was ever caught with them off he’d be punished severely, so he never took them off (he doesn’t know they’re binded, but in case the enchantment breaks, they want him to be scared of taking them off). Eventually he just got attached to them, and hates being without them. They also never taught him to swim so he’d be afraid of water, so even if he got the bindings off, he wouldn’t go in water. So Sapnap is a navyman who can’t swim, which is obviously so dumb.
I also posted that Bad adopted Sapnap in his hometown, which is the ocean. So Bad is also a mer, kinda. He’s a kraken >:)
Basically when I say adopted, there’s like a whole society in the ocean and Sapnap was really tiny as a kid so he was being sold and traded around as food. Bad found him in a market and bought him but fell in love with the little mer boy so he decided to raise him instead of eat him. Bad taught Sapnap to shift into a human form and taught him to be a pirate. A couple years after Bad adopted Sapnap, he met a little sprite named Skeppy and fell in love with him (that’s where the fairy in the lantern from your guess comes in lol).
Also Bad as a Kraken is huge. Like, massive. Skeppy is but a sprinkle compared to him, maybe smaller. Extreme size difference with them, since Skeppy is only about 4-5 inches. Also Sapnap as a mer is small by giant mer standards, which is like 50 ft or something (subject to change). A lot of giant mers are 100+ feet, while Bad is much much bigger since he’s a kraken. (there is a separate species of smaller mers that are treated as lessers since they’re tiny, both by bigger mers who keep them as food and pets and humans who catch them for the same reasons) (also sapnap was being sold as food as a baby since even if he was biologically a giant mer, size is the main indicator of class in the ocean).
anyway lore! i love dadboyhalo! i love skephalo!! i love happy family!! send more guesses if you want i love rambling about lore 🫶
At one time in my tiny mer! au, a day after Bad meets the people that Sapnap fell in love with, he saws Karl falling into the sea and hit his head with a rock. So the only solution he founds is to grow and storage the human so they don't drown. :)
Fearplay when Karl wakes up and sees that he had been eaten without knowing that it was Bad :]
