this was originally a sketch drawn by @skeleton-skelly a long while back, June 2018 !! he never continued with it due to difficulties with anatomy and well,, Vasciel is really dumb looking and ridiculous to draw lol i don't blame him to this day i was still using the sketch as my icon on discord and whatnot, really loving the fuck out of the pose??? idk there's something about it that makes me love it so much- its like a lax confidence anyway, to put CSP to the test, i went n’ extracted linework from the sketch.png and fixed it from there- colouring it when i was done! i added water effects last minute to make it less static ^^/ i really fucking enjoy it so MUCH it looks sO FUCKING GOOD NOW AAAA he wanted me to make it very clear that this is an old drawing, despite me fixing it up to fit Vasciel more- so pardon the old style !! there's something about how well Skelly is able to simplify/condense character designs using his style, idk what it is. looks like 20 yro Vasc when he was still buildin' up that beef! i cherish all the lil sketches he did for me and i wanted to do a lil smth to prove it uwu also, maybe considering making his alt palette a more main thing lol

375 HAUNTED MANSION PIECES THIS YEAR!

You may not know this, but I have spent much of this year methodically indexing every piece of Haunted Mansion fan-art under the sun on this website, to try and do something a bit like INDUCKS for Disney comics. I’m probably still missing afew, but i have over 1500 pieces indexed, including all of @whatwouldwaltdo’s, @miniscule-mars’s, @i-am-not-alone-anymore’s, @skeleton-skelly’s, @officialhappyhaunt’s, and my own, Haunted Mansion art… and much more.

Each page includes a high-resolution image of the comic/drawing/sketch, a link to its source, the date at which it was published, and a list of the characters featured in it. The comics are given a ‘code’ of the format:

XXX XX 001

The first three letters are specific to each author/artist; the two next letters indicate whether it was originally published on tumblr, Facebook, Instagram, etc.; the numbers simply count the comics by this person at this source.

It’s not just fan art, by the way (although it mostly is); I have also indexed all the HM concept art I could lay my hands on, and have also begun indexing fanfilms and audio (like @the-phantom-of-the-manor’s).

And so, among other things, I have used it to determine that the HM fandom produced approximately 375 artpieces and other miscellania in 2017.

That’s more than one a day.

got another one from @skeleton-skelly !! gosh i'm so lucky and appreciative that he lets me colour these in 😭 this is a recent piece though! he drew it up yesterday and gave me the PSD file to finish it uwu i'm not too creative tonight so just enjoy his eye-burning colours xD simplified shading technique to match the lines
