Sad reminder that cross country skiing is no longer an option. Running is back on the menu though.
Ski trail somewhere in Norway

Ski track through a burned forest near Tulit'a, Northwest Territories, Canada. These trees burned in a huge fire that almost engulfed the town of Tulit’a in 1995. Amazingly, the fire spared the town, though everyone who was evacuated thought for sure it would be destroyed. The fire even jumped the Bear River and almost made it to Norman Wells before dying out. Because the summers are so short and the climate is so dry there is very little decomposition. Nineteen years later most of the burned trees are still standing.
