For everyone who is struggling with skin issues: You are incredibly beautiful and strong. I know it is painful, I know it is all you can see when you look at yourself in the mirror - but I promise you, my love, there is so much more to you than your skin. Barely anyone notices it as much as you do. So many people see the beautiful person behind it all. And that is what matters. The state of your skin does not reflect your worth. I hope you know that. You are beautiful and incredibly important no matter how much your skin is flaring up. Nevertheless I hope your skin will heal soon and I hope it will all be less painful for you. You deserve some peace.

having acne is so humbling

i fucking hate ppl who say that acne is pretty or that it can “suit” people

i can’t look in the mirror for too long otherwise it is all i see

Acne Tips

(Take all of this with a grain of salt. Try and find out what works best for you!!)

drink lots of water

see a dermatologist

wash your face

wear moisturizer with spf

put retinol on at night

get all of the recommended daily vitamins

have a balanced diet

wear a toner

apply a treatment serum

use pimple patches for spot treatment

stay consistent with skincare

avoid touching your face and picking your skin

you can extract blemishes, but you need to make sure everything is sterile and that you put the right products on it

ice your face

make sure you go to sleep with clean hair and a clean pillowcase

have silk sheets and bonnets

try your best not to let hair products get on your skin

go on prescription medication if your dermatologist deems it necessary

do red light or high frequency facials

find out what kind of acne you have and figure out what is needed for that specific kind

wear primer when doing a full face of makeup

always wash your makeup off and give your skin lots of time to breathe

be sure to clean your makeup applicators, as well as tweezers, extraction tools, e.t.c.

dont be too hard on yourself! acne is incredibly common, and it is a struggle that many can relate to. you are beautiful, loved, and the furthest thing from dirty, no matter how extreme your acne may be <3

I love werewolves for multiple reasons but one of the reasons is metaphors, I love comparing myself to a werewolf because I have eczema (dyshidrotic, contact, atopic, I’m collecting them like Pokémon) cause it’s like yeah, I’m afflicted with an incurable skin condition that makes me feel like a monster when it flares and people give me weird looks and stay away because they think I’ll infect them thus leading me to a downward spiral mentally over something that I can’t control and be free from no matter how hard I try
