Do you have any analysis’ on skull hunter and where you’d like it to go, if season 3 had given it a chance to grow? And made ripov more prominent?
Uuuuuuh not really? My oppinion on Skullhunter can really just be summed up by that one Marge Simpson meme where she's holding up the potatoe and saying "I just think they're neat". Enemies to lovers go brrrr and all that.
Tbh I don't think they should've made ANY romantic relationships canon, where we to get a season 3. I don't think it would really add anything to the story, since the focus of the show seems to be more on friendship than anything else. People don't need romantic relationships to be fulfilled. Also Ripov becoming a more prominent character wouldn't really make sense? Like, don't get me wrong, I think she's a really cool character, and I would've liked to see her in another episode where we to get a s3, but she's also. A parody. She's a parody of an already existing character from the alien franchise. That's the main thing about her character. So while it would be cool to see her get expanded on, I don't think having her take a more prominent role in the show would really work.
Sorry if that was a disappointing answer ajfjvjdmfndn I do genuinely really like Skullhunter, I just ALSO always at least try to come at media analysis from an unbiased, logical perspective. Sometimes I'm not the best at it(see my heavily biased Skeleton Dance rant or some of my oppinions on Staticmoth that are very much influenced by the old, non-canon Instas), but I do at least TRY. So if I like a ship, but I don't think it'd be good narratively, then I won't try to shove it into the framework of the already existing show. To me, Skullhunter(and most other WOY ships), should stay relegated to the realm of fanfic. And that's okay! Because that's literally what fanfic is for! Do whatever you want go fuckin nuts!
Also it doesn't help that I haven't rewatched WOY in a WHILE-
