Management were completely frothin' about the gig last night at the Retreat that they demanded we dance in streets to celebrate! What better way to thank our ibuprofen fuelled arthritic fans who attended than to channel Jagger & Bowie's pummelling heavy metal ballad love duet their fax stated. And rightly so, the pub was chokkas with a good caravan's worth of grey nomads just gagging for our solid 2 hour cover set of Mick Jagger's 80s solo albums, only straying from near perfection to preform a Meatloaf rendition of our National Anthem at the footy grand final; perfection achieved! When the dust settled this morning, tea cakes mysteriously turned up in droves on the doorstep of our HQ, with only the faint sound of giggling and walking frames clanking in the bushes as any hint of there origin. Turns out, instead of photographing us, our resident meth head tip rat photographer Skwiddles Dogact sent several of our shandy sucking hell nanas home to bake during our set with promises of photos of them appearing in the highly acclaimed Croydon Car Wash Cafe pamphlet! Luckily he did get this cracker shot of us in the high class gated community suburb that is the Frankston industrial estate having a bit of a dance today, so not all is lost to his looseness. He'll no doubt surface and shot us at @thebrunnyhotel on Saturday 13th of January where we'll kick out new songs like our Mum drop kickin' a junkie off her porch; forcefully! Mum txted saying Skwiddles left his camera in the dunny bowl again and she's sick of cleaning his spew out of her fridge door. And tell his missus he's on the nod in the 3rd wheelie bin behind Frazzled Shazza's Fish and Chip Emporium. Management gets a full sack of excitement every Krismess. Management telegraphed PR about rumours of a side project. Nothing echoes in their brain like a some kind of monster 3 piece cover band that is @pegbucket They come hot off a 3 date tour of the Greater Dandenong theatre restaurant cover band circuit to seek and destroy Melbourne plus return the slightly overdue copies of the Beverly Hills Cop trilogy on VHS to Video Ezy. Now, Jules was given strict instructions not to pursue anything creative that'll upset the highly anticipated eastern Dandenong backyard BBQ gig @iamduckeye had pipped for next Monday arvo after school at Skwidd's. And Sean & Sam are under napkin contractual agreement to unlearn drum beats and bass lines by this Sunday 19th to allow Dave & Paul full access to their hydroponics & alcohol drenched equipment at the Bendigo Hotel, Collingwood 630pm. This early show will allow a decent nana nap on Monday before we chain smoke a pack of Winnie Reds behind the dunnies at Coles in preparation for the real record label attracting gig. Bring a plate. Management sends us motivational posters for our rehearsal shed out back of Skwidd's. There was a cover letter with the fax encouraging us to keep our chins up despite the come down of half a dozen shandies after a sweet tour of the south east suburb of Carrum Downs.
