Gonna live blog my reaction playing Chapter 4 of VTSOM. There won't be any pictures though because my computer nearly froze upon opening Tumblr with the game running and I'm not gonna take photos with my phone because they'll be crap.

Gonna play Chapters 1-3 first to refresh my memory first so it'll be a bit

So I'm gonna start a pokemon nuzlocke on my moon game cause I have the least amount of progress there

Rules im using:

Only catch the first pokemon you encounter on each route

Pokemon faints, its dead

Nickname every pokemon you catch

Wish me luck

I did use all my Free Spaces, but that’s what they’re there for, after all

plus, it looks like I can still try to get the ones I skipped ‘properly’, which is frankly a great way to balance the system

oh yeah I didn't really post any more about it after the other day but I finished Z-A (unsurprisingly it was very good and had a strong finale)

now I am falling into Fast-Travel Respawn Shiny Hunt hell

well, I'm nearing the end of this ROMhack and it's been overall pretty good - all that's left is Victory Road, some last-minute build adjustments, and then the League

it unfortunately stumbles into the "overtuned bosses" pitfall; everyone here was level 52 when I reached Drayden but his team ranged from 58-63 (6 to *11* levels higher than mine), and I have a bad feeling the E4's teams will be of a similar caliber

(Drayden's Haxorus (the lv63) also had a Life Orb and the battle devolved into Item Spam, so that wasn't great)

on the bright side, I'm genuinely surprised at just how big Unova is as a region - I wasn't expecting to crest past 50 pre-League, but there was so much stuff to do in-between the last couple of Gyms that I reached this point with minimal grinding - and even then there's still areas I don't have access to yet, like Twist Mountain

it's been a fun way to revisit the region, all things considered

(unfortunately poor Cyan was saddled with the role of HM User this go-around; as soon as I unlock the League for Flying I'm headed straight for the Move Deleter/Reminder to fix his kit)
