the more i think about it, the more i believe that “no strings on me” was a direct and contemplative response to “take care of yourself”. because he knows what’s happened. he’s going through this new life where he chose to not take care of himself in order to take care of those he cares about. he tells barry not to kill king shark and to keep being a hero because he finally sees the value in that at a personal cost.

Tony Stark knows what he needs to do to help his image.

i definitely think coop has tried to kill god several times. usually in the middle of the night, almost always resulting in injuries to himself because he finds the connection to him and the universe inextricable.
