synopsis: congratulations! you're parents now— what better way to take care of your newborn but to use them for your advantage, as is what your husband thinks.
"honey, this feels like cheating." you look to your husband in all his smiling glory, completely proud of his idea.
"what do you mean?"
"we could've just left the baby at home, you know? there's someone who could take care of them while we're doing errands."
as you say this, you look at the long grocery line in front of you, the other customers suddenly parting ways as they see your still-deflating belly and the newborn infant peacefully sleeping in your arms. they offer you polite smiles, gesturing for you to go ahead.
"you were saying?" he whispers smugly in your ear, assisting you towards the front of the line like the good husband that he is.
if anybody asked, he definitely didn't bring his baby on purpose for this exact reason— oh, but he one hundred percent did.
a/n: had to run errands yesterday and saw a cute couple with a newborn baby. now obviously i don't think they did that for this reason but i thought it was a fun little drabble idea.
