A few dystopian books you all need to read because I swear to god, these are so underrated:

The Extinction Trials, S.M Wilson: Basically a mix of Jurassic Park and The Hunger Games, but honestly, this trilogy is so underrated. The first few chapters are slow, but once you get to the actual bit, they go so fast that I felt like I was the one that needed to take a break and not the characters. Many real plot twists, and it's literally a found family trope. Trust me, if you like dystopia, you WILL enjoy this read.

Slated, Teri Terry: Basically, this is a darker (but more realistic) version of what the UK would be like if it advanced just a little more. It contains tropes of found family and many plot twists as well, and if you enjoyed The Hunger Games, you'd enjoy this one. It also preys on your emotions and uses a bit of psychology, so please try it out.

Mortal Engines, Philip Reeve: Based in London, UK, except that it has advanced to beyond what it is right now. Lots of plot twists (as usual), and while there isn't much of a found family trope, it still shows the importance of family and certain relationships. Also, most of the villains are absolutely loveable, so give this a try.

Fever Crumb, Philip Reeve: Also based in the UK, except this is more of a prequel to Mortal Engines. It has a few science-y things to it, along with a society that's pretty backwards and progressive (strange, right?) and that too, it represents underrepresented people (eg, autism, bisexuality, mutations etc). Also a found family trope.
